I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: EVs are too damn powerful. Nobody needs this kind of power. Nobody.

Well, apparently the guy who ordered this one is now in jail for money laundering… so… yeah… obscene and vulgar about covers it.

Nope. Not better. The split grille is an improvement in my opinion; but I’ll take it a step further and say Nissan should have made the divider even thicker and shaped the ends of the upper grille somewhat so it doesn’t look so much like a mail slot.

I’ve seen precisely one in the wild. I nearly missed it, because the silhouette looks so much like the previous 350Z; but then the traffic moved and I saw the tail lights and knew it was the new one. They do have road presence; even if it’s not how I would spend $60k.

The point shouldn’t be whether or not the vehicle was bought new recently, or even how expensive it was for that matter; the point should be that any manufacturer who discovers a manufacturing defect or issue that originated at the factory should be responsible for correcting that issue and not push the burden created

^this!

Sports cars always tend to have longer life cycles; just look at the historical data across brands. The C8 still has new iterations of the model coming out; i.e. the Z06, E-Ray, and now this summer the ZR1.

Wait a minute… I’ve apparently been living under a rock this whole time. The Model 3 did not have a blind spot monitoring system until this latest refresh in (checks notes) 2024? Seriously?

The XM never really made sense to me; although I’ll admit that the entire idea of a “super SUV” makes no sense to me either.

No love for the E60 M5 with its howling V10? I get that the styling of the E60 pales in comparison to the E39; but that engine really was something special, and it was available with a manual transmission.

That’s the biggest factor I think, especially because you’ll find the X5M in the same showroom. It looks a lot less gaudy, it costs less, and it performs about the same (the X5M is apparently quicker than the XM in Competition trim). Essentially discounting the XM by $20k puts it about even with the X5M in terms of

So… Tesla plans on black listing the customers who are willing to spend $100k on their questionably made products, and they think that is a smart long term move why exactly?

I mean you’re taking about pretty limited production volumes with those examples. According to Elon, Cybertruck is going to sell 250,000 units per year…

And considering that getting divorced usually means having to split assets (cash, investments, property, etc.), going through with the purchase of the $100k truck seems like an even more questionable move.

Are we certain that the current owner actually wants to sell this car? Because the asking price suggests that may not be the case.

Hey don’t forget about “robotaxi 8/8”…

No, it’s just drugs and ego. Both of those things will fuck you up and make you unrecognizable; and he has no shortage of either one.

He’s literally undermining Tesla out in the open now and diverting investment and developments away from the company. How any of the shareholders or board members can find this remotely acceptable is beyond my understanding.

This is issue with our current system of fines; even for stuff like SEC violations. If the penalties are less than the gains, then the fines just become “the cost of doing business”. The penalties should be more than the gains.

They got old?
