I guess my point was that anyone who is even mildly interested in gaming isn’t going to buy a Tesla for that purpose. If you already own a Tesla, then that additional feature may get used occasionally; but nobody is buying a Tesla because they can play video games in it.

Yup…. Nailed it 🔨

I was about to ask what the transmission was for this Civic hybrid; as that will certainly also affect how quick it feels and how quickly it accelerates. The power rating of the motor is one thing, but getting that power to the ground is what ultimately matters.

He tried to get in earlier by buying OpenAI; but that didn’t work out, thankfully…

To be fair though, Kid Rock is himself a bit of a charlatan. He’s a middle class kid from Michigan and grew up around Detroit. His whole “redneck country bumpkin” thing is an act.

That’s the part I really don’t understand in all of this; and it truly reveals that the Tesla board isn’t acting in the best interest of shareholders.

You forgot the part about first threatening to sabotage the business and mismanaging it to the brink of collapse; that’s an important part in all of this. Then you can say “only I can fix it!” (where have I heard that before?)

I think people are generally just fed up with seeing higher prices for every day items (cars generally - not the LC specifically), so when they see something like this they pounce. I agree with you that this is just the “free market” at work. If nobody pays the mark up, then there will be no mark ups. But as you

Unfortunately, that isn’t a new issue for expensive Toyotas. I remember sitting in a previous generation top trim level Sequoia at a car show years ago, and thinking to myself: “$80k for this interior? It’s looks and feels exactly like that $20k Corolla over there.” And it’s not like Toyota doesn’t know how to make a

The interior materials are awful is for a vehicle at this price point.

Well, in some cases it’s also just the dealers being greedy. Just look at what is still happening with the C8 Z06; despite GMs “best effort” to stop dealers from adding ADMs.

Rated for 291 crank power.

Just like the safety systems (pedestrian detection, automatic braking, blind spot monitoring, etc.) some work better than others. There are a few brands whose systems are much too intrusive in my opinion. I tend not to trust the systems in rental cars because many times previous renters have messed with the software se

It’s certainly impressive; that being said I strongly suspect that Porsche is underrating their turbocharged engines.

Any predictive model always comes down to the assumptions… when the assumption is: “if I tell Elon the Porsche wins, I will get fired.” then you end up with results like this.

I’m the “car guy” in my group of friends; and like most folks around here, someone who likes driving. On a longer trip, radar cruise control is great to have; but I don’t need any more autonomy than that. If I want the “passenger experience” then I will fly.

Well that right there is the problem then isn’t it? The system is not very consistent in how it performs; and until it can perform safely consistently it has no business being in the hands of the general public.

The guy who was there to show him the car and explain how it works. Call him whatever you want.

Friend test drove a Tesla with FSD a few weeks ago. The system needed multiple interventions during the 15-minute test drive. At one point the Tesla salesman even suggestedturn it off and just enjoy the feeling of driving”.

Yes, and depending on how you classify the “business use” of the vehicle you can write off expenses for:
