They actually make those? I mean, I guess it shouldn’t surprise me, and yet it does.

Earlier in January Elon threatened to “pursue AI” on his own if Tesla shareholders didn’t give him more control of the company. You know, the kind of technology that is central to FSD actually working at some point. Does that sound like a CEO who is acting in the interest of shareholders? Nobody sued him for that

Who needs an eclipse when you have a prescription for ketamine?

Hey, to be fair he did say “bullet proof” not “water proof”.

The car looks like a C63 AMG, but it’s a bit hard to tell from the damage if it’s the 63 or a “lesser” AMG-lite trim. Either way, plenty powerful of a car for a person who has proven themselves to be irresponsible behind the wheel.

When has Musk ever let something like CA state law get in his way? They just pay the fine and call it “cost of doing business”.

You’re right, it probably doesn’t stroke their ego enough to just have a “normal” $100k truck. They need it to be the one that everyone looks at and talks about.

They really shouldn’t reinstate that compensation package; and I suspect that if they do some shareholders will sue again. Especially in light of what has happened so far this year with the stock and with the company. It’s clear that Elon is not actually “managing” anything at Tesla, and spends most of his time

This is probably the truck that every Cybertruck buyer should have bought instead. It is very expensive, but the specs on paper are quite impressive. If the performance pans out in the real world with owners, then I think GM has a winner on their hands with this platform.

I think you hit the nail on the head. My thinking is that the previous Land Cruiser was not a big seller for Toyota at all, so they may not be expecting a sales marvel this time around either; and since there is so much shared between all of these vehicles, that doesn’t present a real issue for them if one of them

But the GX isn’t $10,000 more…

Even the LC 1958 trim is only about $3k less than the base GX. So it still doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Have you seen the finish of the plastics they are using in the LC? There is nothing “luxurious” about that. And it’s not like Toyota doesn’t know how to make plastics that look and feel nice, just look at any Lexus. I think buyers who want anything “luxurious” are going to buy the GX over the LC; especially since the

There are several elements of the Land Cruiser that I think feel a bit out of place for a $60k vehicle. Considering the new GX starts at $64k, I can’t help but wonder if that would be the better purchase. It would be interesting to see a head to head comparison of this new Land Cruiser and the GX.

I’m sure the aftermarket will provide eventually. The round headlights do look better in my opinion. Although it would be interesting to see a comprehensive comparison of which headlamp option actually functions better.

I do understand that this machine is primarily targeted at the “rugged active lifestyle” people… but man those are some pretty awful looking plastics in the interior for $60k+; even worse if you consider the near $80k price tag for the top trim.

I guess you haven’t really been paying attention to all things Maserati then? I mean, this is the convertible of the coupe that already debuted a while back. The new grill also debuted on the MC20 several years ago… so… <shrug>

To be fair, those Pagani owners probably also own a bunch of Ferraris.

Didn’t Tesla raise employee pay in January shortly after the UAW negotiated the new contract with the Big 3? They were essentially forced to do so to try and thwart unionization efforts.

Or Audi can just release an OTA software update to enable that functionality, just like on the Taycan.
