Have you seen the finish of the plastics they are using in the LC? There is nothing “luxurious” about that. And it’s not like Toyota doesn’t know how to make plastics that look and feel nice, just look at any Lexus. I think buyers who want anything “luxurious” are going to buy the GX over the LC; especially since the

There are several elements of the Land Cruiser that I think feel a bit out of place for a $60k vehicle. Considering the new GX starts at $64k, I can’t help but wonder if that would be the better purchase. It would be interesting to see a head to head comparison of this new Land Cruiser and the GX.

I’m sure the aftermarket will provide eventually. The round headlights do look better in my opinion. Although it would be interesting to see a comprehensive comparison of which headlamp option actually functions better.

I do understand that this machine is primarily targeted at the “rugged active lifestyle” people… but man those are some pretty awful looking plastics in the interior for $60k+; even worse if you consider the near $80k price tag for the top trim.

I guess you haven’t really been paying attention to all things Maserati then? I mean, this is the convertible of the coupe that already debuted a while back. The new grill also debuted on the MC20 several years ago… so… <shrug>

To be fair, those Pagani owners probably also own a bunch of Ferraris.

Didn’t Tesla raise employee pay in January shortly after the UAW negotiated the new contract with the Big 3? They were essentially forced to do so to try and thwart unionization efforts.

Or Audi can just release an OTA software update to enable that functionality, just like on the Taycan.

As ridiculous as the whole tuner scene was, you do touch on something that I think we’ve lost along the way…

Go check out the Audi eTron GT “Sport sound”, the best part is that unlike on the sister Taycan, you cannot turn it off

Agreed. GMs whole “we can design a system that’s better to use” stance has me looking at them like:

Certainly there are those who do not care, even if they know full and well the extent of Musks comments and behaviors; but I can say the exact opposite in that many of my “non-car” friends are very much aware of Elon’s comments and actions of late. They don’t read automotive related media, but they do consume other

I’m a firm believer that if the bad guy fires at the Police first or tries or attempt to injure while fleeing, then the response should be to empty clips and keep reloading.

with rapid influx of new cultures into cities. You’ve got different cultures, languages, attitudes all being pushed together

SpaceX is a bit of a different beast because of all the direct ties and contracts with the U.S. government. There will be restrictions and limits as to what can happen at SpaceX or they risk losing those government contracts.

I agree that the products (the cars) are not living up to expectations, and that perceptions are starting to shift as to how “innovative” Tesla truly is (or rather, maybe isn’t). That said it is impossible to ignore that consumer sentiment and brand perception are being affected by Musks public comments and behavior.

I get that not everyone is an “alfisti”, but you’ve never noticed before that the object in the dragons mouth was a person?

I’m consistently able to get 18mpg with the cruise set on 85 in my 2012 4WD Limited

That back seat doesn’t look very roomy at all. Since these will all be on the same platform, my guess is that’s how Toyota may create some more separation between all these TNG-F SUVs.
