Hah! This article is awesome!

Well I don’t care about resale value, I just like boring colored cars!

Every single brand in the world since then:

I just kept thinking about how they should’ve been called the “Flags Mashers” since they wanted to get rid of borders and metaphorically mash-up all the different flags into one.

My guess is that pro drifters are always making adjustments anyway based on condition, banking, etc. One more variable likely isn’t going to throw off the drivers that much.

U-Haul, but U-Shouldn’t

It’s mostly LS Swaps in the U.S. less so in other parts of the world. Its been a few years since i went to a grassroots event, but the attitude I feel has shifted to “sure...you can LS swap, but jeez you’re basic if you do that.”

They probably just rebuild the engine all the time. If you add up all the time you spend drifting in a weekend in one of these competitions, it would probably be like 15 minutes. But also 15 of the most torturous minutes a car can spend on the track (cooling flow is vastly reduced when you’re travelling sideways while

I’m sure it just has so much power it can overwhelm the rear tires. Probably a bit snappier but some drivers like that.

Now playing

Nah, think of it this way: If I put 4 of those space saver spare tires on a Miata, I could drift with 120 hp. But my job would be to get as close as possible to the car in front of me while we drift through the course. Meanwhile, the other car has 1000 hp and huge grippy tires, so there’s going to be a biiiiiiig gap

I’m just giving you shit for not linking the actual video (and combining it with the obligatory shit about unreliability given to all alfa enthusiasts.)

I love the warble of a good V6. I know every hates the VQ because of its ubiquity, but at least it sound distinctly like it’s engine type.

Good catch, thanks!

I think they’re all turbo now, this and the S are turbo 3 bangers while a turbo 4 powers the JCW ones and the bigger ones.

Its a Toyota, i bet it’ll be fine.

We’ve all been there ;)

Yeah, they’ll be like early/mid 90's wheels where we look at them now and we’re like “But....how did we think that was good looking?”

The joke on its own isn’t star worthy. With the mini-spreadsheet though? Yeah you take that star!

No wonder nobody plays poker for fun.
