I think it's because he can fix things. He's the only character that pops up on the question mark block that's nearby. I've got Zane and he isn't able to do it.

I know what you mean. Another one I've run into is in the Wizard of Oz world. You need Jay to sneak by some cameras to fix something. I've tried sneaking with Batman and warping Emmett to me. It just doesn't work. It's the only place in the entire game that I've seen that you actually NEED Jay.

I've tried with him. He can't dive underwater. There's also an underwater part with ghosts blocking the way to some statues slimer has to break and only he pass through the ghosts. You can't trap them with the Ghostbusters since it's underwater.

There's some underwater puzzles that require sonar smash.

God... I wish his mother would have gotten him a turbo duo and imported Rondo. We may not have had to deal with him all these years if she had.
