I only watched it through the once, but as far as I can remember, he pretty much only uses the fist to open doors for most of the show. Seriously. Kilgrave was amazing. And the writers found lots of fun, clever ways for him to use his power. Whether he's cornering Jessica in a police station or just shutting up a noisy restaurant, they utilized that character in interesting ways.

They still occasionally show the fist fail to activate, so they must be going somewhere with his character arc that will eventually justify this weak take on the character (even the fist knows he sucks at this). But I wish they would have made a better point of it.

Jessica IS the best. I know there's a lot of love around here for Daredevil season 1, but Jessica Jones is my favorite of all the Marvel shows so far. Krysten Ritter just owns the character and steals every scene she's in.

Agreed. Spoilers?……….. I think the most likable he's been is when he's kicking back eating egg rolls in the restaurant (I think that's next episode). Being the aww shucks, good hearted but naive version of his character works better than the punk kid trying to act like a tough guy thing.

It's supposed to show that even tho Matt has powers and is good at what he does, Jessica is no slouch and was able to shake him. Puts them more on equal footing of being fellow badasses.

Is it possible to be worse than Under the Dome? If so, this show is trying to get there.

For that analogy to make sense, Confederate would have to be about a near-future America where a group of confederate sympathizers attempt to take over the country and make us a society ruled by racist, white supremacists.

Did the terribly written character on this god-awful show say that? Well then sure, I'd say you should take your cues on "wokeness" with about as much validity as you do this character's "gayness". Sounds legit!

Why do you keep saying woke? That term doesn't even apply here. The kid with the eyeliner is NOT woke. For multiple reasons! Seems like you're trying to make a political point here when hatred for this show transcends politics. Lol

If you take just the plots of King books they read like 1950's horror garbage. The magic in what he does is that he spends a ton of time making the characters seem like people, which makes the dumb stuff that happens later all the more terrifying. The fun part is all the characterization.
