I missed it so thanks for the heads up. Went back and definitely saw it this time... Fantastic!

We’ll somehow soldier on
I’m mildly convinced that Sharon is actually deep undercover as the Power Broker, because Nick Fury has plans within plans within plans and his absence in this story was rather glaringly obvious. (I mean we didn’t NEED him, but a story like this practically begs for a Fury cameo...) So hopefully somewhere down the…
I mean this in the best way possible: I thought this was just about the cheesiest, most earnest thing the MCU has ever done. And like all of Sam’s hero moments, it was a well-earned cheesy earnestness.
I just do not get the Sharon thing. Two things I’m holding onto, even though I probably should just do the Occam’s Razor thing and accept it.
“Skydivers” is my favorite ep.
Warren Oates here and I fully, fully agree. The original message boards were things of beauty and the tech was able to bring you to the discussion much, much better. This site will always have a fond place in my heart, but it very rarely has the depth it once had.
Its good that even in its presently diminished state, AV Club can still put out the occasional informative and enjoyable article about something I care about.
Listen friend, as enlightened people we should refrain from body shaming a person about aspects of their appearance that they have no control over.
Generally I think Fincher runs circles around Nolan as a filmmaker, but Benjamin Button is one movie where he made something even more pompous, tedious and in love with its own pointless technical achievements than Nolan at his absolute worst.
I'm saving a snapshot of this comment for future DCEU use.
Snyder turned the ultimate evil of the DCU into the drunken asshole who gets the shit kicked out of him in a Denny’s parking lot.
This lawsuit is unlike anything they have ever handled before. This is not a private individual that might be forced to settle or go through arbitration. This complaint has a broad scope that covers the concerted efforts of the entire network. It dismantles the performative separation between news and opinion, a…
Thomas Middleditch is what you’d get if you asked someone to draw a caricature of a white man running a pick-up artist seminar at a gaming convention.
Hate to tell you, mate, but no one outside the US gives a flying fuck about Rotten Tomatoes, or its roster of D-grade, junket-whore shills.
Metacritic is a more reliable indicator of professional critics opinions and it’s sitting at a 54. About the same as RT when you only look at Top Critics. So, basically, middling. If you don’t filter RT for Top Critics it’s a joke. They let every fanboy with a homemade website count as a reviewer.
Do people care what Rotten Tomatoes says? Their idea of “critics” are mostly a bunch of fly-by-night fanboy sites no one has ever heard of.
They’re currently busy doing something (anything) else.
Yes, Snyder should be very proud of winning over a majority of the 12 critics who logged a review for this incremental iteration. Maybe feels good enough to splurge on the frame he’ll use to mount his rave review from RachelsReviews.net.
