I mean this in the best way possible: I thought this was just about the cheesiest, most earnest thing the MCU has ever done. And like all of Sam’s hero moments, it was a well-earned cheesy earnestness.

Metacritic is a more reliable indicator of professional critics opinions and it’s sitting at a 54. About the same as RT when you only look at Top Critics. So, basically, middling. If you don’t filter RT for Top Critics it’s a joke. They let every fanboy with a homemade website count as a reviewer.

Do people care what Rotten Tomatoes says? Their idea of “critics” are mostly a bunch of fly-by-night fanboy sites no one has ever heard of.
