I’d really like to discuss this movie and learn more about if it’d be worth seeing in a theater (I’ll absolutely see it, just not sure if I’ll wait for it to hit Netflix), but it seems the comment section is already insane. Singer makes very good popcorn movies, but I really enjoyed Matthew Vaughn’s take with “First Class” and would love to see him return. (I realize a lot of people don’t like “First Class” — I don’t care.)

Grimm was in no way being complimentary to Kate Mara. Saying Kate Mara is “maybe better” than Alba is a joke. You and I seem to share the same opinion of Alba, which is why saying Mara is “maybe better” than her is absurd.

I was going to have a thoughtful discussion with you on the quality of actors in this, but when you said “Kate Mara is maybe better than Jessica Alba” I realized that train has long since left the station.

I don’t see it happening by any means, but can we actually look at the substance of what he said? That cast is fucking terrific. It’s amazing — one of the best modern comic book movie casts, I’d argue. If he wants to try to basically have a ‘re-do’ movie with that cast, I’m here for it.

I sincerely hope they let Black Panther’s solo movie be a true solo movie, not relying on the events of this film or any of the other Avenger films.

My only worry about Blomkamp’s movie is the script. His last two movies have had really bad scripts, but his direction has mostly been on point.
