Was there ANY PR team for Devastation? I don't recall seeing a shred of marketing for it and only knew about it due to website reporting. I mean, I'm sure there was a PR team, because Activisions a large corporation and even their cafeteria probably has a PR team, but I have to wonder what they paid them for.
If you managed to get fun out of the movie tie-in games then you should definitely get Devastation at some point when the price was right. I paid $25 for it on Black Friday and it was well worth it. The environments are repetitive, but the combat is great.
MS doesn’t make branded 1st party hdd’s for the Xbox One, so they're not really selling anything exrtra that they'd make money off of this generation. It was just a weird decision, but using a hdd instead of the internal storage does tend to actually load things faster it seems.
It got changed to that long before the prequels. It was changed for the spring 1981 rerelease in theaters after Empire had come out.
That's better than the official movie poster!
Damn, that’s an early promotion.
Almost 100% as that version doesn't allow for the hard drive, so no Final Fantasy XI.... although the servers for that game might be offline now for all I know.
Sooooo, 3000 stores? If I actually wanted to make an attempt to get one (these can't be THAT limited right? At least more than one at 3000 stores is at least 6000, probably more, that's more than a lot of limited editions get) is there a way to find out which Walmarts will and will not have these?
Yeah, but like his body, how much of it is still organic like that?
Star Wars Tales anthology series I believe.
I think it was one of the short stories from the Star Wars Tales anthology series.
I'd guess that robot brains are better and faster at coordinating robot body parts than human brains are. Kinda curious about General Grevious though. Wonder what kind of brain he has.
Yeah, Yatagarasu. I think there's a beta or something on Steam or something maybe. Its been advertised fairly heavily for an indie game at Wednesday Night Fights and stuff over the last year (when there was a watchable WNF anyway).
Yeah, I know people from Activision's studio here in MN and I understand that completely, but I'd say this situation is a fair bit different as Bungie is simply publishing through Activision, and is an independent, employee owned company. They have a contract with Activision, sure, but I'd be surprised if Activision…
To be fair, the only way you know for sure that those races are supposedly minions of the Darkness is because the Speaker tells you so. There's a lot about the Traveler and the other races that is simply being taken on his word it seems like.
That or their head writer left a year or so before the game was finished and they had a lot of scrambling to do. That one seems more likely honestly.
Sadly that's often how they've presented (hidden) some of the most interesting story info for many of their games. All the terminals in Marathon give most of the story. Being before voice acting was a major thing in gaming, it was more understandable then, but pretty much everything interesting and informative AT ALL…
2000+ Grimoire cards would seem to contradict that. Implementing and executing on that story/mythos however is something else entirely.
Hey! They're playing at First Avenue!
