Depends on the store or the section. Sometimes because they are so cheap they actually sell. The store I work at is in a lower income neighborhood and so the cheap sports games for current gen systems actually sell quite often and when they are traded in they are often in rough shape and the refurbishing charge ends

I understand the canon fine. I've listened Leeland Chee discuss it at length on multiple occasions. The problem here is that you're, to borrow a phrase "dealing in absolutes" to a pretty extreme, and if you're going to do that then you have to say that NOTHING in the EU is canon because Lucas has also made repeated

I've worked at GameStop for what will be 10 years in September, (6 of that as a store manager, stepped down to part time to be a stay at home dad) and yes, we do take all sports games from systems we carry. The only situation where we aren't allowed to take a game on trade from a system that we still carry is if there

Except that a major crux of the Thrawn Trilogy revolves around a Dark Jedi, who, while not Sith, is still practicing the Dark Side. Regardless, the prophecy is still open to interpretation and may have been misread. Yoda admits that much himself in the prequels when the Jedi had originally thought that it meant the

Because they were too busy writing stuff like, "Super cool couple's family doesn't approve of their relationship." ....friggin' Shakespeare

The books and comics that come after RotJ are all canon, they are on the same level of canon as all the other comics and books, just not the same level as the films. Despite that George hasn't written anything post RotJ (aside from the treatments for the new films), as I said, the universe doesn't just cease to exist

Rival Schools/Project Justice seems to get no respect unfortunately. Udon, the makers of fine Street Fighter and Darkstalkers comics started a 4 issue Rival Schools miniseries and only was able to publish 2 of the issues physically before having to cancel it and a few years later release it online for free. Makes me

Except they do say it all the time. Leland Chee is the guy in charge of canon organizing and maintaining canon and he talks in interview quite often about the order of canon, how it works and what actually is still canon.

All I really want is that boxed Zelda Game & Watch, but those suckers are expensive online.

Some of the books are pretty good, some are meh. Same with the comics. One comic that I really enjoyed that could make an interesting side movie or series of side movies was the Crimson Empire mini-series following one of the Emperor's remaining crimson guard after the Emperor's death. With a few tweaks I think that

It IS technically canon. You yourself just explained how there are different levels of canon. A different level of canon is still canon. It's not what George considers part of his story artistically speaking, but NONE of the expanded universe at ALL is what George considers as part of his story. George also goes on

So freakin happy Udon Street Fighter comics are back.... my wallet will be less happy, but the rest of me is super happy.

Possibly, but for something that was a Namco/Bandai online store exclusive and a limited edition item, for them to take orders, but then cancel a bunch of those orders, but sell 200 to a single customer (especially another retailer) still seems pretty shady.

You realize when you buy something with a credit card you still have to pay off that credit card right?

True, but it's still a pretty shady situation that people who order directly from Namco/Bandai had orders cancelled and then this retailer ended up with 200 copies that they can sell at far above the retail price through some "special deal" with Namco/Bandai.

I'd agree with you on the scalper thing except that in MOST cases those limited editions were available for pre-order online or in stores for weeks or months before the game's release. The only way I could afford my Diablo III collector's edition was to pre-order 3 of them on my credit card and sell the other two

Again, I'm going to wait a bit and HOPE for a possible Wii U announcement. If there isn't one then I'll just get the PS3 one. Good lord people like to be snippy about stupid shit.

Developed by Level 5, published by Namco/Bandai I should say.

But, unlike Black Ops, this is exactly the kind of game that sells well on Nintendo systems. Xenoblade Chronicles sold surprisingly well (and now is selling for WAY too much on ebay) and Last Story did really well for Xseed according to them. For something that could be a quick port of a game that's already localized
