Yes, the software that allows you to use GPS can be used to track you. The same applies to mobile phone signals. I'm not about to assume the US government is benevolent, when it clearly isn't, any more than I think Google is benevolent, or my phone company, for that matter.

That may be true, but it remains the case that none of the vegans I know would come up with such a stupid argument.

Herbivore guts vary too widely to generalise from (there is no point comparing us to ruminants, for example), but it's a weak argument either way, and not relevant to the most important reasons for going vegan (hint: climate change). The fact remains, we can live on an entirely or primarily herbivorous diet. The rest

The satellites don't. The software does.

I am one, and know several.

It is actually pretty amazing that the US government provides GPS service to everyone in the world for free.

Thanks. I'll bear that in mind.

As to your second paragraph, I agree, completely. As to the first, does that get the comment moderated and deleted, or just hidden? If we don't refute these lies, more people are liable to believe them. It's frustrating, having to repeat yourself to the same people who just won't listen, over and over again, but I'm

That's why we talk about climate change, or climate disruption. In some places the climate is already dangerously disrupted. The western US is a case in point.

Current estimates are that there are around 300,000 premature deaths a year as a result of climate change.

To be fair, California has some of the lowest CO2 emissions in the US, and is actually making efforts to bring vehicle emissions in to line with, er, levels the rest of the world has had for years.

It's too weak and too late to sort your drought problem, at least this year. Sorry. Maybe banning SUVs will pacify the drought gods?

I see no reason to argue. I agree. Crufts is just among the more prominent apologists for creating genetic monstrosities with the suffering that comes with it.

... Crufts dog show ...

That sort of teleological BS is hardly universal or unique to vegans. I've heard plenty of meat eaters insist that we are "supposed" to eat meat, which calls their credibility into question in exactly the same way.

This was not the first time that NASA's work was heavily influenced by those who knew more of what, at the time, would have been seen as more associated with female expertise than astronautics.

While Babbage was at Cambridge's Trinity College, he developed a tight-knit circle of friends, who, like Babbage, were interested in the subject of ghosts. So they formed a Ghost Club to investigate paranormal phenomena from an academic perspective. ... Well, it's a bit suspect that they also formed what they called

I should add, this only works for birds that are to some degree accustomed to humans. For those that aren't, you need a hide. Many of these should not be allowed to become accustomed to humans for safety reasons. Others are rightly shy.

If you want to be irresistible to humans, take something they like and exaggerate it until it becomes a grotesque mockery. Odds are, it will work on someone.
