well... it is 20 year history.
well... it is 20 year history.
This was my thought as well. I’ve had packages there were securely taped shut that they cut open and left flapping around.
This is almost 100% certain. TSA damages luggage as a hobby that is only second to the baggage handlers overhead slam technique.
I’d be willing to bet the lid was taped shut, but the TSA cut the tape to inspect it and failed to re-tape it. Because the TSA.
I won’t try to cite it here, because Kinja hates all my links, but there is some interesting reading on the history of wildfires available from folks in academia, and most of it is... oddly accessible.
It’s not clear that that is true. Much of the safety in US cars is driven by the Insurance Institute ratings, a non-binding, non-regulatory organization. People look at that and choose the safer cars; my feeling is the Institute over-reports safety as they don’t factor in collisions with far heavier vehicles. Still,…
Yeah, I was happy to hear him calling out the decision during the post “race” interview.
I’ve seen a race. I’ve been to a race. I know a race when I see one, and that, my friend, was no race.
These massively oversized loads require a lot of route planning. How is coordinating with railroads not part of that checklist?
You didn’t offend him, he’s just douching for stars.
I mean, when a modern minivan can blow your doors off, carry 8 people, AND get 30+ mpg, you’re doing something wrong.
Horsepower was overrated (literally) at the time.
truck engine (I know its different, but is it really?)
Tesla Model 3. It has some weird halo effect despite being ugly and having a bargain basement interior... And that's before getting into the quality issues. It drives fine, it's fast, and electric... But since when does that get it a free pass when it also costs $50k?
Television executives 50 years ago: “Here’s your TV game show host. He’s a belligerent, womanizing alcoholic who you shouldn’t leave alone with your daughter.”
How about this, everybody is terrible. If we were able to hear everyone’s thoughts, we’d have to cancel everyone.
The sedans are not up-badged Malibus lol. All of the Cadillac sedans are RWD, something a Malibu hasn’t had in decades. That’s not to say anything about whether they are or are not overrated, but they’re not up-badged Malibus. The Buick Regal was the up-badged Malibu and it arguably did a very good job of being that…
“At current conversion rates, this new ST starts at $49,086. At that price, maybe it’s best it stays across the pond.”
Even though I’m very happy with my 2018 Mazda3, I’m STILL bitter that Ford canceled this generation of Focus ST for the US. I had money ready for it and was asking friends who were working on the vehicle about all the details. I can still remember the day my manufacturing friend warned me of the announcement to cancel…
The GTI is under $30k and has a nice interior. It also drives well and is comfortable. I would say it’s far from overrated.
