Thats because the reference cooler that AMD uses for the 290x is crap. A good cooler can wick most of the heat off of the card and make the 290x run in the 60deg range like the MSI twin frozr one.

Hah... I'm right there with you. I miss the days of great RTS campaigns. SC2 still has them but the other franchises like AoE and C&C seem only interested in multiplayer, sadly. Plus MOBAs are pretty much taking over the market and they have almost no noncompetitive play.

"Used to be?" For my money, Superman has always been pretty awesome. Yeah, his comics aren't always well written (although the current Superman/Batman team up series is excellent) but when Superman is done well, there's no superhero who has more potential to inspire.
