Wasn't Celes an Imperial? I know you get to control General Leo for a spell after he decides to switch sides; the latter is what came to mind when he mentioned that.

Fantastic write-up; it reflects my feelings and takes me back to a similar point in my life.
Everythjng you say is true and I don't blame you for not getting it. I feel sorry for you and anyone else that wasn't old enough to experience this game when it came out because you'll never feel about it like we do. I'm sorry if that comes off condescending but I feel it's the truth and the reason for the divide.
Not sure if you are supporting or arguing against my opinion from three years ago but I agree with what you are saying.
This post should be treated as a public service announcement; good advice all around.
Not saying it's not an issue; just saying it's not the one Kotaku should be dedicating so much of its time, space, and influence on first. Once the bigger issues are resolved this one should totally be tackled too, maybe with a little less zealotry than its being presented around here too though.
That's the same mindset that got us an unnecessary female character in The Hobbit 2, creating a pointless love triangle between a dwarf and two characters that had no business being part of that story.
This is a solid point
I want to backup a little and put my train back on track because I'm coming off like I'm against diversity in games and I'm not. I enjoy and encourage diversity greatly and I agree that it'd be nice to see more of it in games outside of RPGs which have always done an excellent job of being inclusive (Mass Effect and…
No, I just don't care man. It's videogames, I don't understand why everything needs to be a battleground. Most of the time I'm trying to escape reality when I play a videogame and be someone I'm not anyway!
I never read them, more and more I'm liking Rock, Paper, Shotgun as my main game news site and Reddit's r/gaming and r/games since they break the stories before everyone else anyway.
Do whatever you want, but frankly you guys are coming off like the PC police and creating issues where there are none.
Struggling has-been going up against a behemoth of a company with THE most successful videogames of all time for something covered under parody and satire? Let me know how that works out for her...
Are you playing it by yourself or with a friend? It's significantly more fun in co-op.
I'm also playing Divinity as I avoided it while it was on early access so I wouldn't spoil it for myself. So far it's the most enjoyable co-op experience I've had in a game in a long, long time.
It would actually work really well had the entire dialogue been done in the third person by a narrator with the boss just staring blankly in the background. Like a Nat Geo. guy.
The way it's laid it comes off as:
I love comedy, I don't like mediocrity.
Dumb. His diatribe proves that he/she is not stupid so the premise invalidates the "punch line"
Actually as much as I hate Ubisoft lately I have to admit they've been making pretty cool non-AAA games like child of light, might & magic X and that one about WWI with the comic book graphics.
