Thanks for proving my point. Read my posts, friend. I'm not offering blanket support. Generalizing police incidents as 'murder' is just plain ol' dumb, and false. The vast majority of them are justified in real time. Those that aren't should be prosecuted.

Geez, I think anyone can protest anything. I'd have an issue with a picket line or actual force.

Lost your temper, friend? Too bad the world is a bit more complex than a coloring book.

I live you guys who assume the answer to the question in your formulation. When did you stop beating your wife?

That's one departments - likely one chief's - extremely dumb view. Since most urban forces have to have detectives that can deal with ultra sophisticated high tech and financial crime, it's a silly policy.

One force, one test, and the guy was 49. Talk to the NYPD. Some ultrabright people.

Yeah, that's the glass bead game the sociologists play. Somehow a Black guy joins the police force and he forgets everything he knew as a kid.

I deal in lead, friend.

No, you just sorta blathered.

That would be me.

Get a lot of misreading, though.

Murder has next to no application to the vast majority of police incidents. And a Hollywood director is the last person to know that.

Yes. 'The Cotton Blossom'. Only make believe. . .

I think if Tarantino wants to take a controversial stand, he should not be surprised when it is strongly disputed. What the hell did he expect?

In response to the rather silly line that claimed that police forces sought only authoritarian sheep. Pretty silly generalization.

I am responding to the whole line which claimed cops aren't critical thinkers (ridiculous), someone couldn't get a job because he was too bright (please), and so on.

Oh, please do. Keep thinking within the box. That's what you're good at.

Oh, I doubt that. You're still living in the 1870's, and those bad ol' cops are the KKK keepin' down the colored folk. Only these days Black and Hispanic officers are all over these forces, and the percentage getting larger every year. Quentin likely doesn't know that, if all he does is read the NYT and watch CNBC.

Guess again. Often a matter of simple chance and bad luck. There are a few of the recent cases that should be charged as manslaiughter, and two 2nd degree murder. But none of these guys went looking for trouble.
