I’m a weekend tinkerer and have had really good experience with this. It costs about that much in lumber and time alone so it was a no-brainer for me. I’m actually thinking about getting 2 more and permanently affixing some power tools to each like a band saw, chop saw, drill press, etc.

My dad had one of those! I recall an unfortunate run-in with a toll-booth. Never ran right after that.

“Strut-type... coil-spring, telescopic damper...”

Chrome painted plastic. I’m looking at you, GM.

Acres of cheap plastic? No. Just no. Is that a Grand Prix? The hate I have for the mid90s GM interior runs deep.

“Here’s the iPad I used to use as a kid.” *Hands kid Popular Mechanics circa 1989*

How do you drive no-handed?! #savethemanuals

Are you leasing? Because buying a new GTI every 2 to 3 years seems a little nutty to me.

Very confusing. Linkage, in gear, reverse, start motor? None of this makes sense. My 2 auto Camrys had the equivalent of a rocker switch under the gear selector. Is that a linkage? Sounds dubious. Not to mention there's a light on the dash that tells you what gear you're in.

OHHH!!! That makes a lot of sense and at the same time the confusion is so telling.

Marussia is Ferarri powered. I have higher hopes for them than any Renault team finishing the season without going through 1 engine / race.

My dumbass mechanic over tightened a stretch bolt going from the bellhousing to the block and turned it into string cheese.

When I bought my german luxo-barge, there was almost no haggling. I told the sales guy to go on Edmunds and check out the TMV for the car, and I wouldn't pay more than the average. It literally took minutes and we had a deal. I then wondered if I should've played hardball and he knocked 1k off the price on his own.

Ya know, that's an interesting way to put it. Let's use my tv as an example. I bought my tv from Amazon while laying in bed on my phone. I paid something for it, let's call it a grand (it's an old TV). Had I bought it from Amazon in another room, day, or city it still would have been a grand. Had I wanted to but it

This. This made my day. Thank you you-OCD-maniac-you. Cannot unsee. #OCD4Life

I'm having a hard time identifying with you when the purpose of a dealership is to contractually inject itself between the buyer and the manufacturer.

I think I'm missing something. Please explain.

I just wish his testicles would descend already. That voice amirite?

15k? Try 50k. My BMW n54 just started showing signs of hesitation in the last year at 70k miles and I drive it up to redline at least once every time I get on the freeway. 3rd gear at 6grand is about 80 and totally doable for short stints. And i change my own oil at 7k intervals and never noticed any gunk in the pan.

Im puzzled as to why they have gears.
