The couplet operates on the assumption that death is the will of god. It’s a way for religious people to remind each other that their existence is dictated by their chosen god and they must live (and eventually die) in service of that god.

I suspect that (with her guard down) Arya will be killed by Jaqen H’ghar of the Faceless Men wearing Gendry’s face. It’s likely she will face repercussions from her departure from their order and using their practices without permission.

I don’t dislike Pratt, and he certainly avails himself well for the kind of character Quill is, but Gamora ever giving him the time of day never made sense to me. Giving anyone the time of day, really.

Hmmm, I get what you mean. I still remember how in “I Only Have Eyes For You,” Angelus had an easy opportunity to kill Buffy (I don’t think she had the inner strength yet to kill him) and instead he conveniently ran away after the possession wore off.

I loved it. I thought the darkness and fog brought us into the experience the characters were having - everything is shadowed and confusing, chaos and death on every side...it felt very visceral, to me, and still does, hours later. And I am THRILLED at the low body count among named characters. Everybody can take

I prefer the idea that the wights will sneak into the crypt by some secret passage and the dead Starks will rise to oppose them.

Which part of Buffy are you referring to?

I went to the Celestial Seasonings factory once. There’s a room where they keep all the mint, and it is fucking wild. Imagine a mouth full of altoids, but instead of the normal sensation of altoids it consumes your entire body instead.

Infernal Seasonings.

BONG

I currently subscribe to the theory that the Night King, conspicuously absent from last episode’s final scene, is en route to King’s Landing, where shit will get real and he’ll amass more dead (golden dead even!) to his army. While that happens, the poor souls at Winterfell will be battling the wights and white walker

I really hope the old gimmick accounts show up for the final recap. I love that Gotham eventually found its footing, but the dorkishness that used to happen in the comments here made the show a lot easier to stick with when it didn’t really know what to make of itself.

I still can’t stop thinking about last week’s The Magicians season finale. I’m dealing with some grief in my real life, so it’s strange how those two have intertwined.

Apres Spiderman, le Carnage.

MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!

It turns out that THANOS WAS PEOPLE!

Jesus. That’s terrible.

Well, this is a blow.

The dialogue in that show can be chewed on. It’s fucking great.

He was overrated but now I feel like he has become underrated.  His work is still really entertaining and I am not sure he should be treated like some monster for some questionable writing and accusations from his ex-wife (which no actresses he works with have backed up).
