The P1 had legendary shoes to fill, and unlike the F1 it had to fight over the spotlight with the 918 and LaFerrari. Getting even close to the F1’s status was pretty much impossible, but they put forth a great attempt.

The F-16 is still one of the best DOGFIGHTERs going, and that’s not going to change anytime soon. There are a lot of roles the modern fighter is asked to fill, and the F-16 was designed almost exclusively as a dogfighter. The pilot sits very high up in the cockpit, but reclined quite a bit inside an amazingly wide

The F-16 was born from the expense hangover the F-15 generated. Using one of the F-14’s engines maintenance was already in place, it’s cheaper to run than a twin engine, and still held it’s own. Must’ve sold like hotcakes globally.

My thought, take a page from Mitsubishi (the F-2), Modernize and update the F-16, make it a ‘new’ plane and significantly reduce new plane R and D and you’ve got a proven winner.

Go ahead and make the F-35B (STOVL) and maybe the F-35 C (Navy), but cancel the F-35A. The harriers are antiques and the F-18s only have so much service life, we will need to replace them.

Sweet baby jesus in his golden fleece diaper... This is a stunning photo.

Bad day for Nork Armor.

Rogoway never disappoints.

Okay, I follow a lot of military aviation stuff, and tend to find myself bouncing from article to article on wikipedia when I’m up late at night and I’m bored on the couch. I’ve seen every episode of the wonderful “Great Planes” series several times over...

...And I have legitimately never seen these photos.

Hot damn,

Hedy Lamarr.

Richard Feynman! His autobiography is awesome, especially because it was dictated while he smoked pot and played bongos.

Yes, because nothing else in 1999 could have done it...

So you’re saying this is the perfect time for the British to strike back.

oh dang. Miata Is Always The Answer.

The ND Miata, the last car to be reviewed by Top Gear as we knew it.

The 1993 Dodge Ram... The last truck that was purchased exclusively by people who truly needed a truck for doing truck things.

10: Peugeot was doing it at least 20 years earlier...

Plenum needs to be reinstalled, a couple of injectors and injector seals, etc. That’s any given Saturday for an Alfa owner. Sounds like a steal.

Which is good. Him retiring without taking out another vehicle other than himself is the best possible outcome.

So an incident occurs in an F1 race, with a Lotus, and it isn’t Maldonado? Is the world coming to an end?!
