I stopped watching the “New” Top Gear to watch a presenter from the “old” Top Gear put together a 60 year old lawnmower.
Yes I’m a fan boy of all 3 of the TGT guys. But Mr. Slowly has and always be my favorite. Watched basically everything he’s done, even that Wine show with Oz Clark, and I hate wine. Toy Stories was amazing, and Man Lab was awesome as well. While the other 2 presents wouldn’t want to hear it, i’d sit for HOURS…
Dad had all of them recorded on VHS, usually in real time so he could pause during the commercials. Every tape had 3-5 episodes on it with starting and ending footage labeled for future indexing.
Wings was a fantastic show. I too miss it dearly.

You’ll get bonus points if you can get a helmet cam from the F1 race in Monaco [past or present]! What I love about helmet cam is how it gives a much more accurate depiction of how bumpy the racing surface is and, to your point, how much harder these conditions are on the pilot. Fixed onboards come close but no cigar.
