it only gets better as it goes along - the plot becomes more serialized and the self-aggrandizing is dialed back. I almost gave up after Eliott's "you're all sheep, man" rant in the first (?) episode but I'm glad I stuck with it. there are still some eye-roll moments here and there, but it really hits its stride in

yeah I really like this pairing. They're each aware of how neurotic the other is and don't hesitate to point it out.

I think I read that Seimetz and Kerrigan want to do a season 2, but in an anthology format, and then after that pass the show to different director(s).

lol they are very different. this one is far from a comedy - in fact it's quite emotionally distant. the protag is borderline sociopathic and her motivations are often unclear to the audience. it has elements of a thriller, but the narrative-driven parts are secondary to the character/thematic side.
