Was it Matt Farrah’s one take? The same guy who drives 800hp modified Porsche 911s for breafast and has lost all perspective of what is considered “slow”?

This is just flat out false.

Because they aren’t mechanical engineers with no formal knowledge of fluid mechanics and aerodynamics.

Signficantly better lightweight chassis.

It’s known for oversteer because of 215 section width low resistance tires that come from the factory. You just seemed uninformed on the subject matter.

The GTI isn’t a neutral car. It has 62/38 weight distribution. You can dive in the most on a 86 in a more immediate manner due to better weight distribution.

Aero is about velocity and the BRZ easily reaches speeds that require downforce especially for such a light vehicle.

Her own friends have explictly stated that she told them that she had a good time and was looking forward to Future encounters with him to the police.

Also it’s kinda evident that you’ve never sat in a BRZ as you made a statement suggesting that you believe that both cars have similar cog. Have you ever seen a BRZ and a gti side by side in real life? The brz’s head rest is where the gti’s seat bottoms are. It just sits naturally much lower and is EXTREMELY obvious

Quick points as I don’t have time at the moment to address them all. The WRX doesn’t take advantage of the boxer motor cog. It’s mounted up high hence why the brz doesn’t have any room for the stock turbos on the fa20 since the turbo is mounted near the bottom.

There are very few people on this planet who have driven both cars hard who think the gti is more fun. VAG engineers wouldn’t even say a gti is more fun than an 86. They are totally different type of cars for different segments. The gti is a practical all arounder. The BRZ is a dedicated sports car that is pretty

Can we not ignore the fact that these cars aren’t even that far off acceleration wise? The BRZ/86 does a 6.1 0-60 while a stock gti does just under 6. Granted the BRZ does have the advantage off the line due to rwd and not being fwd.

Turn in isn’t subjective. It’s heavily dependent on factors such as weight distribution and center of gravity which the BRZ absolutely demolishes it at with a 52/48 distribution vs the nose heavy 62/38 weight distribution of the gti. The GTI is is based from an economy fwd platform so it makes sense.

Turbos are okay I guess. Manuals are fun... But they are missing g the most important ingredient to ‘sports car’ and that is a proper drivetrain. At least Toyota had that with the 86. Why can’t Honda make an affordable lightweight rwd sports car.

Honda has the NSX but in terms of affordable sports cars, Toyota still is significantly better because the 86 craps on anything Honda is putting out besides the NSX. I don’t care for fwd nose heavy hot hatches. Give me that low center of gravity, light weight, balanced rwd platform. Honda needs to bring back the

What do tires have to do with handling? Low grip doesn’t mean poor handling. Something like an 86 with a low center of gravity and a balanced weight distribution along with rwd, it’s fun to play with the car past its grip limit because it’s so easy and fun to manage. Less grip against cars in a similar price range

The chassis isn’t any more considerably stiffer than the generation before the MQB platform. A ediff and a stiffer chassis isn’t going to hide 62/38 weight distribution, higher center of gravity and front wheel drive.

I’ve driven the MK7 GTI and they ruined the steering feedback with the variable ratio electric

I’m sorry but I would still rather have a BRZ plus the money that would by a 2 series as a project car.

63/37 vs 52/48 weight distribution and the 86 weighs a solid 500 lb less. It just feels more like a go kart than a WRX which just feels like a fast sedan that grips.

It’s insane that you found a nose heavy wrong wheel drive hatch more fun than a low slung light weight almost 50/50 distribution rwd sports car because of a few tenths of a second differences in straight line speed. Sorry, maybe you just don’t know how to downshift? You can get away with lazy shifting in the GTI
