If you watch the episode of The Chef Show where she first “learns” that she was in “Spider-Man: Homecoming, it’s hard to tell if she’s a little high/drunk, dumb as a rock, so removed from “normal” life, or some combination of the aforementioned.

Thank God we've gotten rid of the plastic straws.

Let me tell you, no disposable cup is cool. It’s creating trash no matter what material it is made of.

I was gonna say this is like the rich stay at home mom version of the Fyre festival

I’ve been posting about gerrymandering since 2016 when I expected the Wisconsin gerrymandering lawsuit to make it to the Supreme court in 2017 and the fact that possibly Kennedy (who was still on the bench) might just might side with the liberal justices and we could do away with it once and for all. That all ended

“He is clearly a candidate for not just college but probably for a good college,” Troiano reportedly said. According to the Times”

While I personally could care less if he gets tried as an adult...I do agree with you about minors getting charged as adults. Just like I’m against the death penalty but when I hear that a person who raped and viciously killed another human is getting the death penalty I don’t really care that much. I confuse myself

Uggggh. The judge’s words and attitude are atrocious and disgusting. We absolutely should take this crime seriously and whether or not he might get into a “good college” is completely irrelevant.

This issue makes no sense unless you are a homeowner with a child getting ready to go into kindergarten.  While there are so many benefits to diversity, when you are staring at your child who is about to leave pre-school with certain academic giftings and you see their peers coming from situations where they are lucky

I think the census one got more coverage because they came out the same day but the census one was more surprising in its outcome. We knew SCOTUS would find a way to avoid finding partisan gerrymandering unconstitutional. Many people assumed SCOTUS would also find the census question was completely fine. SCOTUS

Idk I felt like I saw a ton of outrage about the gerrymandering, but u could be right that there was more about the census.

I mean, for twice* he’s right - the American people DO deserve to know who lives in the country. Which is why removing the citizenship question, and thus allowing everyone who lives here at least the chance to answer the census, was so important.

“My focus, and that of the Bureau and the entire Department is to conduct a complete and accurate census.”

The lack of any semblance of critical thinking out there stuns me way more than it should. I am (oddly) flabbergasted that these things happen over and over and over and nobody ever learns.

I salute your view; “I made my choice about having/not having children, I’m happy with it and ALSO completely fine with other people making different choices”.

Honestly, the fact that he wasn’t pissing his life away in wait for his inheritance is probably the precise reason why Gloria Vanderbilt decided to leave him most of her wealth.
This reminds me of Lauren starting comment fight about how the Royal Children couldn’t possibly face difficulties in life [were they to live

I used to hate the extreme right more since I tend more centre-left but these days the stupidity of the extreme left is making me question that.

Ah, remember this site is a sister to Splinter, which essentially shits on “rich people”, no matter how you got it.

He’s an objectively good human being who has worked hard in his chosen career, including putting himself in real danger to report the news. He’s good looking, successful, not afraid to show his love, and he just lost his mother. But he’s rich so snark is on point, right?

Gloria Vanderbilt was cut off from her wealthy family when she married Anderson Cooper’s father, who I believe was a writer and actor from Mississippi. She amassed a huge amount of that fortune by convincing many people in the 1970's, including me, to wear fancy jeans with her name stitched on the back pocket. She had
