While we’re on the subject, could we talk about ‘Catalina’ and ‘French’ and ‘Russian’ dressing? In the general sense of ‘why do they still exist’? Is it because of old people?

THE HAND!!!!

You just hold onto the arms, or tuck it into the pants opening when you drop trou!  The office bathroom is as gross as the airport where I work.

Hot take: any dressing other than olive oil, maybe some balsamic, is disgusting and unnecessary. I don’t understand drowning food in the salad equivalent of ketchup.

That poor child has lettuce in her teeth???!?

What would happen if Jezebel just stopped covering anything Kardashian-Jenner?

I mean, the Kylie thing definitely made me do an Insta doubletake when I first saw it, but she also said it’s her friend’s favorite show in the whole world. They’re like, 20. I dunno, man. I can’t get too worked up about this one.

Yes, it's me.

Oh wow someone threw a themed birthday party for their best friend who loves the show, HOW HORRIBLE

I don't know though. At the rate they're popping out babies....

Tahani gets it.

And yet they are still better than United.

On the one hand, too bad. On the other hand, good. There’s only so many places the narrative of that show can go while remaining true to the concept without simply treading water. They did a really admirable job of continuing the world building after the season 1 reveal to the point where they’re entering season 4 and

I disagree. This provides stability for the kids at what might be a complicated time for them, getting used to the idea of their parent being married to someone new. For all we know, one of the kids may have taken their parents’ divorce hard and may have been upset about the new marriage. Just because the two adults

Did you like it? I liked it. I was skeptical when they said 2nd season, but the writing and acting is just so fucking good. A lot of the plotlines have a lot of potential, too.

I suspect waaaay more people would do this if they had the means. Family dynamics are fraught, particularly with teens in the mix.

Is it really that hard to understand that people tend to want different things out of a relationship? They’re under the same roof the majority of the week, it doesn’t seem like that big a deal to sleep separately for three nights.

idk about living in separate houses, but my wife and I have had separate bedrooms for over 20 years of marriage and it’s a huge reason we’re still together.

Yeah, the author got it wrong. The linked article says Kaling based it on her experience being the first woman in the writers room. but I’m gonna guess she was solo for at least a little while before the other women were hired.

In Late Night, women are hired not for their talent, but for the fact that they are simply there. Is this a satire of women in comedy, or bait for the men who hate them? Perhaps it doesn’t matter, as long as women make sure to smile while watching.
