That’s a very kind way of saying they’re morons with no idea how politics, or basic electoral math, work.

I think she out-earned her dad by several hundred million dollars at this point.

This is why I think 99% of cultural appropriation accusations are bullshit. The very people making the accusations are inconsistent and the same publications will call out one instance but excuse another based on how much they like that celebrity or whether or not they’re white.

I think that group of photos wasn’t loading for me when I wrote my comment because I would have included Meghan trainor on my list as well. She looks like a failed flintstone sex kitten.

Really? I always thought Annie could do better than Cara, but Ashley and Cara work.

Everyone looks great except for Beyoncé (that dress is ugly as hell and unflattering to boot) and Kelly Rowland (her dress is tacky and ugly as hell) but at least they tried. Jimmy Kimmel looks like he just threw a shirt and pants on. Sloppy.

I tend to agree with you. I’m not defending the relationship per se but I think the extent of the scandal is a little... much. And calling you a pedophile defender for your comment is fucking bizarre, not to mention ignorant because I don’t think they even know what pedophile means.

Yet their win casts a light on our nation’s troubling habit of looking towards a privileged few—people like athletes and celebrities—to lead conversations on pay.

Troll? She sure is playing the long con then.

I want her to win. I adore tennis (it’s by far superior to all other sports as far as I’m concerned) and she is a joy to watch play and I hate the bullshit she’s had to put up with, but that doesn’t mean everything she says or does is unimpeachable and uncriticizable. I’ve seen her act like a petulant brat before and

Maybe. But ultimately the show’s creators decided to deviate from the book in order to continue telling a story that ended after the book, but to follow the book in the sense that June continues to be the main protagonist. I get why you may find that disappointing but personally I think it’s fitting, and kind of

June’s weird devotion to Serena is Stockholm syndrome and unhealthy co-dependency. It has nothing to do with whiteness or the racial narrative the writer of this blog is trying to make fit into the show, when it’s not there. Whether or not the show should have tackled race is another discussion (it probably should

I don’t understand this view of the show as “suppressing” other narratives. It privileges June, and Serena because they’re the main characters. That’s what all shows do with their main protagonists.

Yes most women get killed by intimate partners but harmful stereotypes aren’t why people are fascinated by stranger murders. Plus, watch enough L&O, true crime etc and you’ll see intimate partner murders get plenty of coverage too.

Yes, obviously the takeaway to a murdering man looking for any excuse to cover up his involvement in his wife’s death, is to point fingers at female fiction writers and tell them what they should and shouldn’t write about. Brilliant logic. We should elect you to run the world.

So who are you going to vote for if not the democratic nominee?

Oooh, did I offend a fan?

Why wouldn’t they depict smoking? People smoke. Why should shows pretend otherwise?

You’re right, I’m not.

Sorry I thought every performance in that movie sucked balls, and it was endless to boot.
