I’m starting to think the only way that will change is if women start refusing to have kids with men who won’t put in their fair share. The unequal distribution of labour at home starts way before kids but women put up with it. If it’s already the case before kids it won’t change after, either. My married friends and

Seriously? So they too could get arrested? You must not travel much if you think anyone is going to risk getting hauled off in handcuffs and potentially ending up with a criminal record or travel ban just for standing up for this woman. Passengers have zero rights these days

They’re hilarious and you need to lighten up. Fashion is fun. And the fashion disasters are a part of that too. The fug girls are a joy if you enjoy both fashion and humour.

I love Go Fug Yourself. I’ve been a fan since the beginning. And I think doing that for a living would be one of my dream jobs. Olivia Munn is an idiot.

Assuming Pelosi went forward with hearings etc. to start the impeachment procedure, how exactly do you intend to get 2/3 of the Republican controlled Senate to vote to remove Trump? That part is missing in your blog. There are lots of good points, lots of stuff I agree with, but you never exactly prove your point

Does this also explain the powdered wig/hair she’s been sporting for most of the past decade?

Yup. People get caught up in the stuff that’s in the media but is only a tiny bit of what she talks about. And you’re right, the overall purpose isn’t for people to live in pared down minimalism with 2 pants and 4 books, it’s to only have things you need and like, to appreciate and take good care of what you do have

The spark joy thing is definitely not well understood. In her books it’s explained a lot better but also I think it’s going to mean something slightly different from person to person.

The whole Marie Kondo book-gate nonsense was so fucking stupid and the result of people taking an internet headline and running with it, without bothering to actually do read anything. And I see it keeps getting perpetuated by people who don’t know what they’re talking about.

He was but I think his fame was specific to a certain demographic and One Tree Hill fans. Did anyone besides One Tree Hill fans and white southern high school and college students know this guy? If it hadn’t been for a few episodes of OTH, I never would have heard of him either.

I’m sure a lot of mentally ill people are receiving treatment technically against their will, because mentally ill people don’t always want what’s best for themselves. I’ve seen it in my family, there is one relative who will go off his meds and his family has to intervene and twice he’s had to be admitted by force.

Plus, she’s thirsty in general, always has been.

I wish I were surprised that 360+ ignorant assholes agreed with that comment.

I’m not even american, so no pride, thanks. I just can’t het behind people calling for historical places to be destroyed. And you also can’t turn all of them into museums so that doesn’t really leave many options besides hotels, etc.

My point is, if plantations are off limits, so should most of Europe and a lot of other old stuff still standing all over the world. Why are plantations different than, say, castles where prisoners were tortured and indentured servants were mistreated and people get married ? I can’t help but see a very America

Nah, plenty of people choose church weddings because of tradition and because they like the idea of it, not because they think their union is illegal in the eyes of god if they don’t. People don’t become guilty of the sins committed at a place if they choose to celebrate an even in that same place centuries later,

Because there’s a huge market for new museums right now and because it makes sense to tear down centuries old architectural landmark buildings because woke people said so?

But can’t people separate the aesthetics of a moment in history from the shit that went down during that period? We do it all the time with everything else. The main squares in many European cities saw hangings, decapitations, with burnings, etc. And those same places are now places where celebrations take place,

What exactly are people supposed to do with plantations? The houses are there, they are objectively beautiful, the grounds are perfect venues for parties and events... Continuing to use those places is in no way supporting the uses they had before. Many places were once the site of torture and wars and slavery, and

A lot of former plantations now function as boutique hotels, wedding and party venues, etc. What else are people supposed to do with them? And what exactly does getting married in one make you guilty of? Are you suddenly complicit with slavery?
