It is sort of like people here are saying that it’s not homophobic because he talked shit about her kid. The logic doesn’t really follow. I don’t know why everyone is presuming that she doesn’t mean it homophobically when she’s basically sex shaming him. Like everyone decided that it’s not her that’s homophobic, just

Do you think you have to think deep in order to be influenced by something? Kids don’t think deeply about much (if anything) but they’re influenced just the same, even if they don’t realize it.

And her ability to hear keys jingling in pockets? And rolling suitcases? Does she not know we humans can hear those things too?

It doesn’t seem like Uber (at least) has a sustainable business model, if they have to continue cutting wages to remain competitive. On the other hand, they’re doing a decent job of putting cab drivers out of business, so once that’s gone they can fuck over customers in addition to their (non)employees. Anyway, good

As someone who that would have helped immensely, thanks! I’m glad to hear that it’s not graded. Group projects SUUUCK. I never had one that didn’t.

Gold liquid liner! This sounds amazing. Where do you find such a thing?

NO ONE wants more group work. Except maybe the people who don’t do shit for group projects, so their grades are actually boosted by the rest of their group’s work.

California servers earning a regular, hourly wage that’s at least minimum wage, plus tips? Not new at all. There are several states that have had this for many years. Or are you referring to the part about tipping going out of fashion? That is fairly recent, with some restaurants foregoing tips in favor of a decent

MFW I read your first comment! Thanks!

What are thooooooooooose?

What are thooooooooooose?

That isn’t really true in every state. In California, servers are paid hourly, making at least minimum wage, as are the bussers and hosts and everyone in the kitchen. Only the servers really receive tips, unless they tip out or have some kind of tip pool. It’s true that it’s an industry problem though, and tipping

As everyone has mentioned, tipping is not part of the Uber model. Rather than requesting everyone donate their own income to supplement yours, perhaps you should switch to Lyft or find a different line of work if their model is not working for you. If Uber specifically says no tipping, I really don’t think their

Now you’ve maybe learned not to comment with authority when you don’t really know what you’re talking about. No hourly wage does not mean she doesn’t get paid lol

It’s already moved on to quartz now.

Are we sure she’s not stuck in Alcatraz?

Yeah, I did in my other comment, which you couldn’t come up with a response for. Weird!

A woman may be “fully capable” of saying no or not (not for you to decide, since you clearly have little grasp of how sexual assault happens) but why shouldn’t we expect a man to wait for an actual “yes” before he proceeds to have sex with someone (especially someone who is not actively participating in the sex)?

You’re coming off like a rapist trying to justify his actions to himself. Maybe it’s time to do some soul searching, man.

Also, I agree that this is an important (and sometimes difficult) discussion to have.

I think you’re right, but I don’t think it has to be that way and I don’t think it’s a stretch to expect people to stop if the issue of consent seems ambiguous at all.
