Agreed re. Scarlett's voice. When I read that Samantha was originally played by another actress then recordered afterwards with SJ it made sense. She seems disconnected and I don't think she did a particularly good job.

I think it was a random young person as all the patients seem to be teenagers. It all happened pretty quickly then wasn't really discussed again so I'm still not sure what the point of it was.
