“Restaurants have come a long way since Ug picked that berry.”

Mainstream really means you know of them. Death Vader, Bugs Bunny, etc. are household names, but if I was asked what’s Bugs’ first cartoon was, or his last one prior to the new Space Jam, I couldn’t tell you.

Another thing that drives me nuts is when news stories about games start off with “Games have come a long way since Pong...” And they ALL do it.

Pong hasn’t been relevant for 40 years. You don’t see stories about movies start out with “films have come a long way since Roundhay Garden Scene”

Video games make more money than movie box office, that is true, but to then jump from that to the conclusion that games are more popular or well known than movies is absurd.

I mean, I get it completely. And it doesn’t alleviate things much, but Luke isn’t from the US. So it’s not like he’s one of us being cavalier about the chaos we wrought over there. He’s like an outside observer. Though, if I’m not mistaken, Australia definitely isn’t innocent in all this.

Anyway, I can go either way.

A process can be simple and still be a pain. Being simple and something being a pain in the ass are not mutually exclusive.

umm xbox SSD is just as good they just took different approach with the other parts of the velocity engine

I keep waiting for Microsoft to add a ‘pay an extra three bucks a month, get access to all DLC’ tier to GamePass. I mean, I’d go for it, for sure.

Yes this. This whole last generation since I left school (left school in 2013 just before the last gen consoles came out), it’s been a nightmare trying to find friends to play with outside of things like fortnite or Warzone. Until Gamepass came along, and now friends who in the past would have stuck with a small

Exactly. I have owned every Sony console since the PS1 and have never owned an xbox of any type. This gen I convinced my online friends group to all get them because Gamepass fills our niche perfect (a group always looking for new stuff to play, often buying games for each other just so we can play together). It

Game Pass is easily the more developed of the two but it feels like that’s partly because one seems almost ashamed of it while the other sees it as their most important business model.

Honestly is still embarrassing to try and compare the two services, Game Pass is just head and shoulders above and beyond anything right now.

decentralized finance is less exploitative than the centralized financial ecosystem.

If you have a Series X this is not aimed at you, like at all. You have the console why would you stream it instead of just playing it on your console in the first place?

If I get a stable 60 FPS I will take lower resolution any day

What’s been preventing you? Android has had it in beta since last year. iOS just went into beta this past April but it’s through invite only. I’ve used it on my work PC, iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Pro with minimal issues, mainly with network connections.

Its been available on phones since last year

Beta, invite only. I just signed up for Game Pass Ultimate a couple days ago, so was not included in the beta. When I go to that page and sign in it says:

Honestly, the most exciting part of this isn’t that the games look better, it’s that the Series X performs way better with encoding and so latencies go down. Regardless of the resolution being used, that’s a big win.

If you’re logged in to Xbox.com, there’s an option under the GamePass dropdown for Cloud Gaming that appears to be in beta.
