I tried to run it with my Crucial drives but most of the features said "Intel only." Looks pretty useful though if you have an Intel.

@Tordenflesk: "Win7 is fat, slow, ugly and very 1984-ish"

@Prairie Moon: You're lucky. I had at least a few teachers that pronounced "infrared" as "infraird."

I personally believe hijacked sites that secretly download malware/keyloggers are much more of a problem than simple and mismanaged passwords. Reading about how your wife got hacked seems to reinforce my point.

@Haneyg: Random restarts are traditionally PSU or RAM related usually. This smells like PSU to me also. Check how many amps are on the 12v rail on your PSU and make sure it's within spec of your 9800gtx. If that checks out, I'd make a date with memtest86.

@Jerkface: Wow. That might explain why I went through about 3 Corsair DIMMS during this. I had always blamed Corsair for the DIMMS going bad, but after reading your post I'm inclined to blame the mobo.

@Jerkface: Interesting. I had some serious issues with one of my systems at around the same time (I'm guessing) which was an evga 680i mobo and an Nvidia 8800 and running an Vista/Xp dual boot.

@Jerkface: Conversely, they replaced a dead GTX280 for me -out of warranty- no questions asked. I'm not a fanboy (I have no evga parts on my current rig actually), but based on what I've observed in their forums for many years and my own experiences, I can claim that their customer service is above average.

@HalLumos: That might be true but bananas are equally good for creating nausea, at least for me. I think the word we're dancing around here is electrolytes.

I used to use EVGA Precision all the time with no issues (running ATI now). If you want to go even further there's an EVGA Voltage Tuner which could yield higher overclocks for some. Additionally, if you want to overclock your ATI/AMD card beyond what is allowed in the CCC, MSI Afterburner will allow you to do so.

@Jerkface: EVGA's customer support rivals few. Sucks you had a bad experience.

@Relyt: I'd scan for malware before you change the PW.

@chrisaroz: I think the word we're all dancing around here is "ballast."

@auctoris: Some people only friend people they consider actual friends, while others simply go for "high score."

I would use 2 separate pairs. Sort of off topic but for $30sh I love those Senn earbuds you use and so do a handful of friends who I bought them for. I don't sleep in mine but I have been doing cardio w/ them almost every day for well over a year with no problems. I also have a very expensive pair of Shures I use

@8x10: Sure. Just make it so sensitive that every time a fly lands on the car the alarm goes off. Awesome idea.

Has a new term been coined? From the source article, "it's not just spyware, it's "traitorware," since it is designed to allow Apple to retaliate against you if you do something Apple doesn't like. "
