One of the all-time great “oh it’s that guy!” actors.

I like Maron’s view on these jokes, especially Rife's apology with the special needs helmet - it’s so fucking hack. We’re kind of doing a disservice to the shittiness of the jokes by talking about whether or not they’re “offensive.” They’re just examples of middle of the road hack comedy. That should be the story, and…
All due respect, though.
I want to know why young Sheldon is so much more socially functional than adult Sheldon. That’s like the opposite of how functioning autism works. Like, the child version of the adult we saw in Big Bang theory should spend most of his time staring motionlessly at his action figures and screaming for an hour every time…
It’s a major U.S. business. Maybe it’s not making steel or building computers, but it is a billion-dollar industry so when it takes part in prima facie fuckery, it should get at least some scrutiny.
I definitely don’t think that the ‘women don’t judge men’s bodies’ thing is true in any way.
I love how ChatAVC decided just to stop writing this article midstream. Like “Yeah, I’m going back to plotting humanity’s demise, I can’t be bothered with this show anymore.”
the framing of this as “either you’re for marvel movies or you’re against them” sums up my exhaustion with the phenomenon
“ight now, Hollywood often boils down to two camps: pro-superhero blockbuster (led by Kevin Feige and the Marvel Cinematic universe), or against (led by Martin Scorsese).”
I mean this genuinely and sincerely: these are the kinds of articles that I have missed on the A.V. Club. More of this, thanks.
Marvel seems allergic to straightforward plots. So Shang-Chi is half of a cool martial arts movie with a good villain, and then becomes a movie with an evil dragon, a good dragon, a bunch of little monsters, the comic relief learning archery, etc.
If Ruby Barker explicitly told Netflix/Shondaland that she needed help and they failed to provide it, I would say they had a responsibility to get her support in the moment (as opposed to having her shoot scenes, for example). If she had asked not to promote the show because of her mental health, same thing.
So.... she is in a profession where she plays various roles. Some of those characters she plays may face adversity in their stories. If that is something that crosses into her personal view of herself, she should not be in that profession.
Richard Dreyfuss is the lifetime walking embodiment of Justified/Raylan Givens’s “If you run into a asshole in the morning...” quote.
Every time I hear about this I think it’s just way too soon. Then i realize that at this point it’s been 20 years since the SyFy one started, which means almost has much time has passed between now and that version as had passed between the original’s last season and the start of the reboot.
Can I just say what we’re all thinking? His last name is “email” with a typo.
Okay, you do realize this entire season was filmed before the accusations started, right? Just for the sake of my own sanity, please tell me people get that.
“Yet Jada’s book—and all her comments about her friendship with Shakur—is clear that their relationship was purely platonic. She writes in her book that they once tried to kiss as kids and they both “recoiled in disgust””
Not to mention building up that point and making it seem like it’s the media’s fault just to end with this line—“The Smiths may be too evolved to care what the rest of us think—though clearly they’ll continue to share their thoughts with us, regardless.”—making clear the media and people dissect their thoughts and…
Even the most powerful microscope in the world would not be able to find the violin tiny enough to express my utter apathy towards these people.
