These nominations mostly make sense to me, but I’m shocked that The Morning Show got so many nominations because I don’t know that I’ve ever met someone in real life who watches that show, nor does it seem like one of those underrated gems that critics love that just hasn’t found its audience. Maybe the people who

It’s so funny to me when I see conservatives online talk about how New York is such a shithole and you can’t walk down the street without tripping over used neeedles or getting mugged and it’s like... you know this city wouldn’t be so wildly expensive to live in and be one of the largest tourist destinations in the

Jesus Christ. Don’t get me wrong, Shane Gillis is very much not to my taste and I find his loudest fans on the internet to be obnoxious but I don’t know that he’s done anything to deserve this much vitriol.

I, too, am a functionally illiterate moron who doesn’t understand context. It’s so nice to see people like us given the space to publish on this website.

There’s a chef I follow on TikTok who has an extremely thick Cajun accent and I have no idea if this 40-something year old man can act or not but he’d be perfect for Gambit.

Everyone was waiting for him to comment on his year of scandal”

My greatest (unlikely to be fulfilled) hope for this movie is that it fully embraces the fever dream creativity and wildness of late 60s Jack Kirby.

Given X-Men ‘97's success I would not be at all surprised to see Disney reboot the 90s Spider-Man cartoon. It ends on a cliffhanger (the search for Mary-Jane) and was starting to hint at some of the more then-contemporary stories like the Clone Saga.

I’ve actually tried the hot sauces that Conan drank straight from the bottle in this episode and even as a person who really likes hot sauce I cannot imagine doing that, or how much discomfort he must have been in by the end of this. You can never say that Conan isn’t committed to the bit.

I’d be very surprised if they don’t give him (and the other Avengers actors who they wrote out of the franchise in Endgame) a dump truck full of money for a one-scene cameo in Secret Wars, whenever Marvel finally gets around to wrapping up their multiverse story.

Internet culture loves to build up young(ish) stars - especially young women - and then tear them apart for not living up to some unstated standard that they never committed to. It happened to Anne Hathaway, it happened to Jennifer Lawrence, it’s happened to plenty of other young stars in the past, and I guarantee

If I recall correctly Dune Messiah is set 12 years after the end of Dune so Villeneuve can take his time getting around to it and none of the main actors will have aged out of their roles.

I revisited it a few years ago when it first went up on Disney+. The voice acting is super over the top sometimes but for the most part I still liked it - it feels to me like a comics-accurate adaptation of Chris Claremont’s hilariously over the top phonetic accents. I think a lot of the storylines are really good too

I could certainly be wrong, but nothing that Cilian Murphy has ever done in his career or said in an interview makes me think he’d be remotely interested in making a multi-film commitment to being the face of blockbuster franchise that brings enormous fame and scrutiny and requires a tremendous amount of personal time

Ah damn you got me. I haven’t ever really clicked with one of Marvel’s attempts to make a Spider-Woman character popular and I think it’s probably a bad idea for movie studios to make big budget movies based on characters who are not popular enough to sustain an ongoing comic book, therefore I hate women. Impeccable

Movie studios have to realize that if a character has never taken off in the comics it is extremely unlikely that they will take off in a movie. Marvel has been trying since the 70s to make some version or another of Spider-Woman happen (the original Secret Wars spends way more time than you remember trying to make

I just hope Madame Web is fun-bad, like Venom, and not bad-bad, like Morbius.

Speaking of filling the empy space with whatever our preexisting beliefs are, in the absence of video footage or eyewitness accounts from anyone who is not an “anonymous source” (i.e. a cop) what evidence exactly do we have that “strongly suggests” Killer Mike assaulted a security guard? Cops - and wannabe cops like

Any sane person would take a producer’s share of the box office on a move that made $1.4 billion over an Oscar nomination. The Oscars are also not the be-all-end-all of movie success - Barbie was the most successful movie of the year, widely critically acclaimed, spawned a million think pieces, has won other awards,

The Bear is a comedy in the same way that Succession is, which is to say that while many episodes have gut-bustingly funny scenes that are arguably among the funniest scenes on television in the year they came out, if you described the show as a comedy to someone who had never heard of it and then sat them down to
