But if you’re making shit money, maybe you shouldn’t be buying the average new car.

I own a ~$120K Lexus built at their Motomachi plant. I’ve also owned a Tesla Model 3 and Model Y.
My interior after 120,000 miles and over 4 years has been fine. The vegan leather hasn’t cracked, all the headliner is still in place, the steering wheel is still intact, and all the panel gaps are still in the same place when I first got it.
I think the 3/Y interior is probably more durable. It has more plastic in places that get dirty or wear, like door sills. The S/X has more fabrics and carpets.
I don’t have kids or pets, but the interior of my Model 3 has held up. About 4.5 years old and the only notable thing that’s been happening is a crease developing on the passenger seat leather where the thigh bolstering gets squished down. Also I have some dings on interior plastic like when I saw down and my walkie…
Either TX car buyers have an average take home pay of ~$100k, or there are a lot of people who have very unhealthy financial habbits. Gonna guess the latter.
I find this ironic that at this time residents of a solid red county are crying for more regulations from the government....
You are a pathetic loser. You can reply with as much false bravado as you want and it won’t matter. We all know you’re a pathetic loser and you know you’re a pathetic loser. Because what kind of person wastes time trolling and shitposting online? Pathetic losers.
I wish assholes like this would be hunted down and chemically castrated.
Musky is a south african spoiled brat, intent on poisoning American politics so he can make a couple of extra bucks. Fuck him and the toaster he rode in on.
Call me uppity, but $92K gets me this? The hard black plastic and chintzy control nobs scream Chevy Cruise.
Can’t say I didn’t see 1st Gear coming. VinFast has a store at Irvine Spectrum and I walk by it all the time to the tune of two salespersons per customer that wanders in. And it certainly doesn’t help when the car you build for the same money as a Tesla is underwhelming in every conceivable way. Seems the CEO is…
The lack of infrastructure plus the effect of cold weather on EVs are major detractors. Motor Trend just posted something about their experiences which confirms a lot of what my friends with EV have said:
Floodlights are key. Long story but I used to work for LA County - nobody uses something for half the year if there’s no floodlights. Make them solar powered etc..
Landscape it, turn it into a park, or a little patch of woodland, let nature reclaim it in a good way.
Who, besides the weird nerds who unconditionally worship Elon, is going to buy one of these? Everything it had as a market advantage has already been done better by someone else. Want a normal truck that’s electric? Ford Lightning. Want a trendy, cool lifestyle one? Rivian. Want something outrageous that stands out?…
This site is so anti-Tesla. My Model 3 has excellent panel fitment and Elon can impregnate my wife or daughter anytime he wishes. Or me.
Con Man Cons
It probably is, people just don’t pay attention.
Because American education is fucked. 54% of American adults have a literacy below 6th grade level. If you can’t read, how can you understand a TitleMax contract, let alone have a grasp of “that math stuff”?
