yep. that’s what i did. it was surprisingly difficult to find the right size stainless that wasn’t cheap bro diesel 4" exhaust pipe.
lol, ya that has turned out to be the most useful tool for fixing lots of things on the racecar.
Do you have any suggestions for restoring this muffler?
That thing looks gigantic and ugly...
i wish, i’m in chicago and the wife would kill me if i brought another car onto the property. I need to get rid of the old daily driver festiva first.
Ya, its already caged and i imagine id basically just cut the whole floor out of the back and weld in the miata subframe and tie it all into the cage. I’m still a ways out on starting that project though. I’d actually like to end up building a whole new car for SCCA GTL class with a full tube frame, miata…
The race car is in the process of getting a BP swap. Im hoping to a full miata driveline/suspension swap on it in the future. I thought i recognized your username from the festiva forum.
yes, I have 2. ones a race car (as pictured in my icon) and the other one is a rusty parts car now after 3 chicago winters. I didnt put a deposit in because who knows when itll ever happen and i knew i was going to need a new car before it came out.
I fell the exact same way. I’ve wanted to buy one, both to support them and it the perfect fit for my commuting situation. Too bad its taking so long because ive bought the next best thing, a miata.
The schtick is a bit annoying, but hearing someone new to the sport describing things in a really real way was amusing. I really liked his take on explaining “clean” and “dirty” air. It was so perfect that if i ever have to explain aerodynamics effect on passing that is the way to do it.
I love riding in downtown Chicago. Whenever someone asks how i can ride downtown i say that i prefer it over the suburbs. People in the suburbs and distracted and stupid. People in cities are used to bikes and pedestrians all over the place so it feels so much safer. Also, the speed differentials are so much…
Thats cool. I can name all the corners at the tracks i race at too. Corner 1, Corner 2, Corner 3, Corner 4, Corner 5....
Wait, you’re saying my baby momma and I both don’t need a wheelbarrel each to carry a distributor cap? Crazy talk.
You can get a new NA/NB hardtop from mazda for $1535.00, so it looks like they’ve gotten cheaper. https://www.mazdamotorsports.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/DisplayRacerStoryView?uniqueId=11255&storeId=10001&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&source=STORY
Nope:
“No organization works harder than the NFL to make its own product dumber and worse.” I think you need to pay some more attention to motorsports.
My wifes ‘98 Dodge Stratus. All the clear coat and paint form the top of the car was peeling off. Giant scratches/dents all the way down both sides because she had it since high school. Everything kept braking on it. When i jacked it up to replace the rear brake lines I bumped into the lower rockers and they just…
I love the NA miata headlight wiggle/wink by either mashing the headlight button a bunch or lightly tapping the button.
Great clip of some great Basketball action. 23 seconds of standing around to eat time off the clock then, someone touches the ball and an immediate foul. Looks like basketball to me.
