I loved the bit about cutting into a steak while grilling to check if it's done "like a little bitch".

I didn't see it but did it have the "deleted scenes" from "Big"? I loved that.
Laughed the most during the test screening sketch.
I would have to watch a bunch of recent Clint Eastwood directed movies and then watch Crystal Skull for me to go "Oh my god, the colors!"
Saturated for a Kaminski shot movie but not as much as the previous Indy movies which were REALLY saturated. Deep browns, oranges and reds and the deep green, lush jungles.
She survived the wrath of God! She can handle what the Russians could do to her.
Bernie Rosenthal first appeared in 1980, a year before Raiders came out.
Bill Murray has gotten even more beloved as he's older. Bemusement ages better.
I think old age has hurt Chase more. When he was young that attitude was funnier but now it just seems like he's a senile old man.
Marion Ravenwood. Marion Crane is from Psycho who got stabbed to death in a shower.
I didn't like Ghostbusters II because I didn't like the idea of them not being Ghostbusters for five years(especially after watching the animated series) but I did love the Run DMC song and montage.
In Raiders she was a bitter alcoholic young woman stuck in a dive bar after her dad died looking for a way out. In Crystal Skull had been a stay at home mom for 18 years, of course she's having more fun.
I disagree that Kaminski reproduced Slocombe's look. There are some nice shots like the shadows in the interrogation scene but it's that washed out and overblown look that Kaminski has done for Spielberg for the last 15 or more years.
The 50s weren't a great time for adventure in general. Everybody was more into being domestic and suburban. The 60s however brought the spirit of adventure all back with the Bond movies and all the shows and movies that were in the spy genre where people were jet setting to exotic locales.
It was probably McGillis.
As flawed as it is Kingdom of the Crystal Skull had that great moment where Marion drives off the cliff onto the tree so that it both goes safely into the river AND knocks off a bunch of Russian soldiers following them.
It's like when Murphy Brown dated Jerry Gold(who was based on talk show host Morton Downey Jr.)
Jayne and River is my favorite trash ship.
I love when she's pregnant and they decide to live off the land so they go to a cabin in the woods. It's snowing and they're freezing so Frasier is trying to light the oven by banging two rocks together over it and he asks Lilith to sing a song and all she knows is "My Funny Valentine"!
I could never buy Logan was the child of Harry Hamlin and Lisa Renna. I mean he's pales as eff and has no lips. He had to have been adopted!
