And Don't forget the Fish Mooney Tacos.

Holy shit, how could I forget that example of excellence in plummeting?!

"What was I thinking? The boathouse was the time!"

Doesn't Captain Marvel have to battle Major Bummer before she moves up to Colonel Sanders and then finally onto either General Disinterest or General Public (depending on who wins the semifinals)?

My favorite Susan Sarandon moment was when she plummeted to her death in The Great Waldo Pepper. She should plummet in everything she's in. She's a natural plummeter.

Another great Lincoln book is "Lincoln" by Gore Vidal. It's a novelization of more-or-less the same events as in Goodwin's book but Vidal is a really excellent writer so the whole thing is just super excellent.

Baz Luhrmann's Hip + Hop

I grew up around a lot of kids who were 2nd generation immigrants from various cultures (yay NYC!) and I can attest that all cultures smell weird to other cultures.

Indeed, that's why I prefer the term "State-licensed sex partner"

I judge people based on the fonts they use and I ain't got time for any Courier New using motherfuckers.

Poor us! Shall I call a waaabulance?

Her attributes were alluded to in that episode of Broad City she was in.

Wait, wait, wait…. your friends dropped acid and FELL ASLEEP? Man, acid must be a lot weaker these days.

That was before the Star Wars prequels killed his idealism and soured his soul.

Have you seen the VH1 documentary NY77: The Coolest Year In Hell? It's really good.

But Mark Cousins said Baz Luhrman is a genius. At least, I think that's what he said. It's so hard to tell sometimes.

But his kicks have the power of punches!

I love Schall in about anything but there's no doubt, this has been her best work.

Agreed. I was just sitting here trying to think of a movie or TV show that so flawlessly combined top notch comedy with such gut wrenching tragedy. Frankly, I got nothing.

And that Hip-hopera was called… "Burr".
