ABSOLUTELY!! wow. I get around 28C but overclocked from 3.4 to 4.0 and maybe a bit more but usualy run it at 3.9-4.0 without issue and certainly not heat....it's a GREAT cooler hands down.

DAYAM!!! That's HOT considering...
I OC mine all the time stable (stock 3.4QC Intel i5) and can OC with this cooler and a couple case fans up to 4.0 without any issues whatsoever. But yes, when Extreme over clocking there might be better but this has always fit the bill for me. I don't OC much but this handles most everything up to 4.0 and sometimes…
HANDS DOWN...its the most preferred no doubt. Many other very nice alternatives of course but I've only bought the 212 ever since it's release. I'll never buy another brand ever. They'e the best.
I ALWAYS request (in a friendly non-accusing way) to simply do a walk around and pop the hood and especially look at the area around the repair to be done....I just tell them "I'm anal" or something so they think it's ME and not that I'm suggesting they'll damage it etc.....so they know I'm watching for anything that…
Agreed. I'll still probably not get one, just haven't ever done it and not around people in public much per se but not afraid of needles etc either. I agree, elderly and kids especially....kids get EVERYTHING at school. And the low-immune people too f course, like you said. +1
True...good point also, I hadn't thought about it in that way. I work from home (IT and Web, graphics etc.) so I'm rarely out in public with the daily "workforce" but hadn't thought about it in a preventions state of mind....+!
Just call Adam Corolla on them. LOVE that new "Catch a Contractor" show. Good stuff.
Never have got a flu shot ever. I know some people are firm believers in them but I've never been one and rarely get sick Everyone's different of course. I always thought it was kind of a scare tactic or sham but some family members swear by them too.
Yeah very weird. I'm still monkeying around but Cable box has no effect but Xbox is shutting it all down and I've swapped HDMI settings etc etc. Oh well, at least the xbox is handling it for me.
Kinda yes, but there's no controls for it and doesn't work with anything else except the xbox. Cab;e box doesn't do it even though it's setup for it. Weird...I'm a geek and know the menu system it's just simply not there
"Are you single?"
Yeah I knew whatcha meant. My Zenith doesn't have it in any form which is kinda weird because it's only 4 or 5 years old and has a mid-level menu system, not a ton of stuff but definitely not in here named as anything else either BUT, My Xbox can do the same thing so I have my settings set to when I turn off Xbox, it…
Yep, they're big and especially in a mid-atx case config. I'm building one Thurs and this will be installed before the mobo goes into the case for sure lol.
I REALLY like the Hyper 212 EVOs. they're pretty much silent and off a TON of cooling. I swapped my AMD 8-core 4.0FX stock cpu and installed one of these and literally got 32 degrees fahrenheit more cooling and 80% drop (both at LEAST and first glance notice, maybe more) in fan noise and because it ran cooler it also…
I do it allll the time. You have to be creative and you have to watch the deals. Know when people are selling and need cash asap etc. Far too much to type. Ive been CLing for ages. You can totally have a computer pay for itself by flipping a couple tops. Ive bought and sold and doubled my money many times.
:-) yes!
I do this often to get newer computers and gadgets. If I need a new computer or something I'll usually buy one I can upgrade a bit and sell for a bit more and keep doing that a few times until I'm up to a point where I can get the one I want. It's never emergent and harder to sell singular things on eBay and CL than…
Great advice! I quit smoking a couple years ago ad toss in ajar for vacation or savings 7.00 a day and another 4.50 for the Starbucks (or wherever) coffee I'd buy everyday. $11.50 X 30 days in a month average = $345.00 a month I don't spend on ruining my health and something I can make for pennies a day at home…
not very standard actually. I have a 50" Zenith plasma and it doesn't have this feature and it's 3 years old.
