For this to work it must be powered through the Chromecast power, not usb and your TV must support this. Mine doesn't (Zenith) some TV's that are a few years older don't have the feature sadly.

yep, you definitely can disable t in Win7. I still don't think it's good to do and have never needed too but meh...if it doesn't hurt fine but I don't think this is a final verdict situation. Until it's more common I'm not touching mine. It runs great and is fast as the day I bought it year ago.
