I think this is the case with my passat wagon. The brake pedal is way higher than the gas pedal so unless I’m braking really hard I find it hard to reach the gas.

Hill starts definitely do not require it. And they don’t require the handbrake either.
No, you just move your foot quickly from the brake to the gas as you start releasing the clutch.
While this might make new cars suck for shorter people, they aren’t getting any better for tall people. Many family sedans barely have enough headroom for someone 6'2" in the front seats, let alone the rear. In fact, I fit better in the rear seat of a golf than in the rear seat of a passat because of the difference in…
This sedan might have more legroom, but for those of us taller than 6 foot hatchbacks really help with headroom. I can’t sit in the back of a Jetta or even a Passat comfortably, but in the Golf I have room to spare. Although it obviously doesn’t apply to everyone, I’d much rather give up those few inches for my knees…
To be fair the golf R isn’t a homologation special.
Although you were really focusing on post-80s I suppose
For “of all time” you’re missing Rohrl and the likes of Stig Blomqvist and some pre-Group B drivers
Your logic is ridiculous. In capitalism, the value of something is exactly what someone is willing to pay for it, and these and other Porsche’s clearly sell enough to satisfy their manufacturers. An R63 isn’t worth that much, because people aren’t willing to pay that much for one. Now, the market value of Porsche’s…
shit
Except that a real manual is more engaging and fun, and you can learn to hold things while you drive one. Also you have a problem if your calf or lap burns just from driving a normal manual in traffic. It might happen if your car has a super-heavy clutch or something
I think the car as a whole looks great but I also think the headlights look pretty awkward.
Also that roofline looks like it might really cut into rear headroom.
COTD
Silver exterior would be more German.
But at least 99% of the people who don’t watch that film also can’t afford this car.
