I missed that they were even prisoners! I just figured people were being brought in so he could practice his slaughtering.

Yeah, this seems to go with the theme of "never let any of the good characters get what they want, ever, and even when they do make it as painful as possible" that GOT loves so much.

Anyone else really, really disappointed in their choice of "Mountain 3.0" or whatever number they are on?

Yeah it's not so much "failure" as it is "crippling depression" or something like that. Getting paid to be creative seems like success to people like me.

This is an interesting question because I think it actually *might* pass it. There is a chapter in the New Testament where Mary and her cousin (or is it aunt?) Elizabeth talk to each other about their pregnancies. Since they both end up having boys, I guess technically they were talking about men. So fail?

Hey… That's my line.

Yeah, that's true. Although it's kind of funny that the review was apparently written right before things completely stop being lighthearted in the book.

Also, that trail mix is pretty good right?! But I kind of got sick of it after one bag. How do you keep going back to it?

I actually just read Moby Dick, just wrote a seminar paper on Moby Dick, and was kind of shocked and… I don't know, just plain disheartened by the description. Melville was modern for his era? What does this even mean?

It doesn't feature women talking to each other, but it does feature homoerotic subtext…Which is kinda like women, if you think about it! Because what do women have in common… They like cock. And so do gays! See?

Uh…. The space Jews take over space. END.

After reading them I realized George Lucas did, too, and we've all been duped all these years.

There's no way this is gonna be as good as Food Fight, though.

Didn't they find Frank Herbert's outlines of the final Dune book on a 5 1/4" floppy many years after he died? If only the media had been less durable, we could have been spared all those crappy spin-off books…

This actually sounds pretty awesome. I found a cool little piece of software called WriteMonkey that you can basically configure to look like a good old-fashioned DOS screen. It's great for writing when you want to minimize visual distractions and get that old-school computer feel. It's freeware, too, which is nice.

So maybe the general quality of life might improve for people, but not being on the internet, not watching so much TV, not being on a smartphone all day, not constantly looking at porn, not drinking, giving more to charity, spending time with your family, being nice to your sister, volunteering, etc. will also improve

I want to know why "healthy" is the default better way to live. Why should the 400 pound man with kids be ashamed of himself? Why is "healthiness" better? What makes a fat person less "healthy"?

More and more I think the whole "accept fat but admit that it's unhealthy" is going to change soon. Because the "unhealthy" aspect gets treated as if it's just pure, eternal scientific TRUTH when in reality I doubt that it is. Even if it is true that being overweight is somehow less "healthy" than being skinny, what

The only thing I didn't understand about Shae's return was why she didn't put two and two together. Obviously Tyrion wanted her to get the heck out of King's Landing, offering her all this money and gold and whatnot. Then, a day after she's kicked out, the king is murdered and Tyrion is accused.

Uhm… I must be the wrong demographic for these? I did not get a palpable sense of Ripley's isolation and fear from that. It was just a gif..?
