It’s not really truthful to say that the engine light has never come on for you when you know it is broken, so it won’t come on. I am not saying that you would necessarily lose an as-is claim based on that, but you should probably avoid doing stuff like that.

I sold an ‘06 Aveo to a guy, told him about most of the warts of the car, was truthful about the fact that the engine light had never come on for me (I found it wasn’t working, since it kept throwing codes, but I downplayed it). A car this fine would have went for $3000+ on a dealer lot, he talked me down from $2000…

If you would a sub 1500$ car from me and threatned to sue me id LOL at you on the phone. You can afford a lawyer but not a car off craiglist thats under 3000?

Sold my dodge dakota that was perfect in everyway, except for the 4x4 lever was stuck in 2wd mode. Put in the ad that 4wd was NOT WORKING. Even put a post-it note on the lever saying “needs to be fixed” before trying to put into 4wd mode. The guy said he was gonna sue me for not notifying him. lol @ people
