The Double Life of Ironic

Haven’t played a game on GP with micro-transactions, and looking at the list of games in my library, yeah. What are you talking about?

Came down here to post this. Never wondered once how it got made. It is glorious in its irreverence.

Find the paragraph where he addressed the topic and read it twice more. Don’t pout. Now think about you not reading the article, clicking comment, and try-harding yourself into a rhetorical mousetrap.

Have a Sony Bravia tv, use the roku sound bar. The bar breaks the tv once a week, making me unplug everything for an hour. Every other device i use on the tv works perfectly. Roku’s answer: Talk to Sony. Sony’s answer: Talk to Roku.

What, you mean you don’t like 10 different articles about single change log updates in Animal Crossing from every writer on the site in a single day?

It was a real slam lunk.

How cod you?

This BS ‘reporting’ is why I stopped coming to Kotaku.”

Gotta say, the trick to the first Darkest Dungeon was to treat it like Slay the Spire. Don’t level anyone up, just throw them into dungeons, who cares if they get killed, and grab the loot. You do that for most of the game until you’ve leveled up the buildings.

Tug of war survivor, made me absolutely hate the game for life. Also:

“Kotaku would be better if they constantly reminded everyone that the world is an illusion...except for NFTs.”

I appreciate that they don’t just do PR for video game game companies, but the editor in me did triple stop at “blistering.” If the game was $80, fine. If it was just one of the games at $60, sure. But three sprawling open world, genre-defining classics slightly re-furbed with controls that don’t make me resort to IRL

“We’re entering a territory of sterilization.”

I confuse.

You don’t know the name of the main character of the game you’re writing about, and you found DQXI boring? I feel like these two items are somehow related...

“These figures are missing a lot of information”

We know it’s not hidden. You just self-owned, but I’m not sure you can be convinced that you did.

I don’t often curse in print, but fuck the goddamn hell out of Airheads. Fuck that fucking shit to the shit ass moon.

Feel like that’s kind of a big detail to leave out in a review. I’m assuming it was omitted b/c ppl are dubious of mobile-to-console ports? Did I miss it? I re-read the review and only saw how it pays homage to Octopath and BD2, which now makes less sense seeing how it predates both. Maybe it pays homage to Lost

I prefer the dreamy art of Octopath and BD2. This looks like a mobile game with brightness turned to 11 (out of 10).
