Please let her know it’s not about not being prepared. It’s about someone committing a crime. If anything happens it’s not her fault for not being prepared, freezing, thinking the person was a friend, being drunk, leading them on and or not being proficient in weapons. It’s always the fault of the perpetrator.

Whatever they did, no way are they the only brand to have done it. I have long assumed online reviews are somewhat corrupted. There’s even a site to run Amazon reviews through (or at least that’s how my husband uses it) to rate how “authentic” they seem.
I put a caveat in there. Might want to read the whole comment before writing your next novel. Or not, who cares.
