People misuse awkward and random all the time these days. It seems as though everyone has forgotten what those words actually mean.

I came here to say the same thing. There is nothing “awkward” about the Apollo spacecraft. These are the results of beautifully designed functional hardware.

Gorgeous photo.. Cringy headline. Awkward spacecraft? Apollo was beautiful in it’s own way.. Completely functional design yet the outcome is a very nice piece of hardware, all shiny aluminum & mylar, bristling with antenna and RCS ports. Awkward? Never.
