BMW drivers dream to have this level of asshat parking job

They will get new jobs. They had to learn how to drive trucks, it’s not like people are born as truckers or assembly workers. I think you significantly underestimate the ability of people who drive trucks, to learn some other task. The turbover in that industry is insane, so it's not like there aren't people leaving

Soylent green?

The US didn’t lose all its credibility with the rest of the world (as well as with a large portion of its own citizens).

.....

Replacing every part of our trucking fleet with automated trucks is going to take far longer than aging out the entire trucking labor pool. Maybe twice. We already have a trucker shortage.

those truckers are good at trucking

The truckers can live in misery like the people of Appalachia waiting for strip mining coal to come back.

“so what are the now obsolete truckers gonna do?”

Give Porsche credit where due as they have listened to customer (and industry) feedback. We saw this with the 911R / GT3 Touring, return of the manual in GT3 trim and more stripped out driving ethos models.

I’m on the passenger seat, my cousin on my father’s lap... He still owns it today :)

She cares so little about what her critics think that she’s been writing songs about it for like a decade.

He’d have done the same thing and gotten a penalty too

Life is good! You?

I drive an ES350 to work every day and average 23mpg. When this has more mpg, and I don't have to rent a truck 5x a year anymore, how is it vanity?

Lol. I suspect it matters to the engineers who worked on extracting that kind of power out of this mill.

well, he didn’t get the penalty right away, and all of the-people-who-know-things said it was dubious he would get it, until he did get it. And that’s when he seemed like he started pushing again.

Sounds like you’ve picked up the general idea behind F1's personalities rather quickly and accurately!

If you don’t award the penalty you encourage dangerous behavior.  It’s an arms race that ends in a team putting a goon in a car to wreck the chief rival.

With the caveat that I’m relatively new to following F1 and don’t really understand the rules, or what a recovery is SUPPOSED to look like, on first viewing, it looked a lot like he caught himself, and made a quick jerk to make sure Hamilton couldn’t come by.
