Jesus H Christ. As if this day couldn’t be more soul draining. Well, props at least, for him letting his misogyny flag fly. It’s almost refreshing compared to the onslaught of semi-veiled misogyny from the old white Republican men on the SJC. Why pretend you’re not an awful excuse for a human being when you can remove

how was this more reprehensible than what is said almost daily on Fox News? I’m not saying he didn’t deserve it, just that.. this doesn’t stand out as noteworthy on that channel.

If that’s an example of the language and tactics he uses for defending accused rapists, I think it’s safe to assume he has himself sexually harassed and/or assaulted women.

Telling a respected professor and PhD to open a book...it’s like he’s just too lazy to tailor his misogyny to the target. At least show some pride in your shitty craft, dude!

Well, he’s right about one thing, this is a complete sham.  But just not for the reasons he thinks.

He’s not an honorable or fair judge though! He has the most transparently (and hypocritically!) partisan record in recent SCOTUS history! The man is a GOP stooge who expects his aids to look like supermodels. His, Graham’s, and Grassley’s ranting is the most unethical (Senatorial) sham I’ve seen since I’ve been

“This man is not a monster,” said Senate Judiciary Committee chair Chuck Grassley, stressing that Kavanaugh is an honorable, fair judge.

They’re all so shrill and hysterical. Maybe they should be on indefinite bed rest.

Look, if someone doesn’t like to fly when they don’t have to, but can overcome their fear of flying when necessary, then there’s no way they were sexually assaulted as a teenager. That’s just science.

There are two options here. Either Rachel Mitchell is absolutely terrible at her day job or she is purposefully working on behalf of the Republican position that Kavanaugh is innocent.

I was inclined to believe Dr. Ford when the allegations first surfaced, but I felt it was important that the matter be investigated thoroughly for the sake of basic transparency and fairness to all parties concerned.

Now, hearing her testimony, my belief in her allegations is no longer a matter of inclination; I don’t

You know what I hate? The world is watching a woman relive an attempted rape as though it was a football match, complete with hooligans supporting their team.

Trump next tweet:

I have to think that he’s being purposely distracted, in one of three possible ways:

Orrin Hatch is napping. Did you see that? ORRIN FUCKING HATCH AND CHUCK GRASSLEY ARE NAPPING THROUGH THIS.

I hate the skewed reality that we live in. Watching/reading/following this, the sane part of my brain thinks holy shit, the GOP looks so incredibly bad here, there’s no way Kavanaugh can do anything but withdraw, and even then, the stench of this whole episode will still bury the party in November.

I really, really feel for this woman. Hearing her on NPR this morning was heavy stuff. She is fucking brave to stand up like this. I wish it would make a difference, but I fear it really will not. The GOP has made up its mind and not to beat a dead horse, they will absolutely ram Kavanaugh through because he fits into

1.) Holy shit this woman is amazing.

Watching this awful republican prosecutor act like Kavanaugh’s defense attorney trying to raise reasonable doubt issues is jaw-dropping.

I overheard my female boss say to another coworker today “I feel sorry for Bill Cosby...don’t you? He’s so old, to be going to jail...” and I wanted to badly to just scream into the void.
