The fact that vaccinated people are getting sick is sadly fodder for the anti-vax crowd to claim the vaccine doesn’t work. They are completely ignoring the reduction in hospitalization/death that the vaccine is scientifically showing, while claiming they “follow the science” as they refuse to mask up or get vaccinated.

8min/mi = 3hr 30mins marathon ;)

And if you try running and find you really don’t like it. That’s okay! Not everyone has to be a “runner”. There are tons of different ways to get physical activity. And the best for you are the ones you’ll actually do.

I started running when covid hit because I was afraid for my life and needed something to drive me to be more heart healthy. When it started I couldn’t run more than a minute at a time and when I finally got to a mile it was like a 14 minute mile. Now I can do a 5k in 26 minutes, but I’m determined to get to 24

I didn’t start running until I was 51. I could barely run for 15 minutes when I started. Seven years later, I’m doing 23-25 miles a week spread over four runs. (If I run more than four times a week, my knees bother me. So I do other stuff on the non-running days.)

That’s kinda what I was thinking - how many people have a cleaning service? But our household has two professional incomes and we’ve never even considered having a cleaning person so obviously I’m not the best judge of who uses cleaning services.

I’m sorry.... is this really worth an article? What percentage of people on here actually have a housekeeper? Is this not a site for poor millennials and poor genZ types?

Come on folks...get your vaccine! They are plentiful now, and quite frankly, I’m tired of being punished in an attempt to protect folks who are perfectly capable of protecting themselves...and it’s free too!

I’m impressed, because I didn’t think it was possible for them to outdo themselves when it comes to guidance that’s completely unhelpful.  No one is going to check transmission rates before they leave the house.

The morons who thought getting rid of the mask mandate would ENCOURAGE people to go get the vaccine instead of just lying their ass off about having got the vaccine NOW think people are going to listen to them and start wearing masks again???

No matter how you do it wrong, it’s still more right than not doing it at all.

Yeah I feel like there is a good bit more of nuance needed here than the basic premise the headline tries to get across. The saying, you can’t outrun a bad diet, has been around for longer than this book because we know you really don’t burn that many calories in cardio or weight training.

I’m not a fan of these slideshows; instead of simply scrolling down , it’s click, scroll down, up, click, repeat ; real nuisance especially on Laptop

Because everything is a slideshow article nowadays. Each slide is a page refresh and generates new ads and thus more revenue and engagement.

Things I learned since I started running at the start of the pandemic:

But this is not the way you want to find out if you are genetically disposed to it.

Stance also has really nice sport boxer briefs. They are similar to the Saxx Kinetic, but softer.

Unless running in compression tights, it’s compression shorts under my running shorts - nasty chafing to my inner thighs and to weewellgruntled educated me really quickly many years ago. It’s almost always compression shorts when I workout, whether lifting, running, whatever; if not, it’s at least long length

I used to do all the fancy stuff, fartleks, sprints ... etc. Kind of more related to my type A personality. But I’ve was not a long distance runner, sticking to the shorter interval type runs. A few years ago something switched, and I decided I wanted to do longer runs. And surprisingly I enjoyed it. It’s calming. I

Molly Seidel was a champion 10K runner, but she was constantly injured from the hard track workouts. She changed to longer distances at moderate paces. She stopped being injured and she won a spot on the 2021 US marathon Olympic team. For many people, easier miles are healthy miles. In my experience, they are also
