Molecular manufacturing will soon eliminate that age-old dependence on the thousands of specialized steps in the supply chain currently needed to get that bulk-manufactured object in your hands.

Actually, it’s been “trendy” for quite a few years to have a bit of facial hair vs being as cleanly shaven as a baby’s butt every single day. This is good, because I hate shaving, so I guess I get to be grizzly adams with a 1 millimeter long beard twice a week.

Using blades by “Personna” which are made in the USA. I’m not sure that there’s that much difference between different brands to be honest. (Sounds like a job for a Mythbusters test! RIP)

After years of wasting money on disposable razors I finally moved to something better & cheaper than an electric shaver and even those “dollar shave” clubs:

My #1 tip: Skip the worthless diamond and get all gold bands instead. Not only will the rings keep their resale value much better (diamond is cheap carbon), but there’s also nothing to snag.

I bought a nice pair of leather Timberland Earthkeeper boots last winter and tried traditional “Saddle soap” wax and most recently some waterproofing “Nixwax” as well.

I have two standard credit cards that I’ve kept a zero balance on for more than 20 years. Very recently I’ve added two more cards for healthy 5% discounts at Target and Amazon, and those too will ALWAYS have a zero balance.

I’m using a 3-year old Melitta 80395 burr grinder ($35 atm), and it’s been great, ‘cept for the mess it leaves behind after a while. Before this, I’d used a bunch of non-automatic blade grinders that eventually broke down.

Yeah, that’s exactly what I used to cut off some rusty toilet anchor bolts a few years ago.

I’m currently using a 10-year-old Logitech MX518 that I dug out of the attic a little while ago, because it still just WORKS. Two of the newer mice I’ve bought developed the annoying “double click problem” after a a couple months of normal use (I don’t game anymore). Both a Logitech G700, and a Razer DeatherAdder,

I hope the water police find out what you did last summer! :)

Whichever shower head wins, it had BETTER be of the water-saving variety.

In most apps I’ve used — not including this web browser — two regular dashes are converted to an em-dash.

I’ve got a registry tip no one’s mentioned, probably because the percentage of people who dualboot Windows and Linux is very small, but here it is anyway:

I recently asked a Poland Springs water salesman how they can sell bottled water in NYC, known for the cleanest tap water in the U.S. His reponse: Old dirty pipes. Riiiight.

I’ve always just written the PW on a sticker on the bottom of the router.

For $20,000 I’d consider switching to Apple for 1 year. Not a penny less, or a minute longer, though.

Well, a Slurpee is mostly just extremely cheap sugar water. The assumption is they’ll make money off the other stuff you’ll buy while you’re there.
