Paint sealer is a product meant to go over factory finishes or otherwise old paint to chemically separate it from the new paint. It wouldn’t really do anything in this case, as it’s not chemically bonded to the sheet metal and it’s not meant to be a bare metal primer. What you want in this case is to apply 1-2 coats…
