The cliffhanger must have been a desperate plea to keep the show alive, and I wish they would! Chloe Sevigny as "Shelley the Nymphomaniac" is even more of an incentive to keep watching American Horror story than the generalized crazy of that show.

The phrasing regarding Mia's involvement in John's death was intentional, if not literal, which you can simply dislike or disagree with, but it is not the same thing as an error. I definitely agree that I should have made my line of thought clearer in the review itself rather than having to explain in the comments

Good, because I really hate jury duty.

Call me a prude but at the point where you're chopping up someone's body and throwing the pieces into some large body of water, this is just splitting hairs. But in the official sense, accessory to murder at least.

Her relationship with Joggin Hood (hah, good one!) has always been a weak point to me, existing only to bring up questions about Mia's confidence and sexuality. But couldn't they have found someone who is just a little less of a total void?

I didn't even mind the dream sequence - it was artistic way show that Mia was finally aware of her home and work life colliding.

I know you feel that way and you are far from alone, but even expecting the worst I thought this episode was a step up from the others rather than a step down. It does ramp up the melodrama, so if that doesn't do it for you this would be the point where it becomes too much for you, but I thought the direction,

You're right, I think it's the feeling of a beach being ringed in by bleacher threw me.

Perhaps it would have made more sense if the producers had made a more concrete link with the history of the longitude and the games; even a tenuous or contrived one would have been an improvement.

Mikulak also won me over with his Bro-with-a-heart-of-gold vibe. It almost seems as though he ACTUALLY ENJOYS SPORTS. And being from a small country without an Olympic record myself, pretty much every part of Kirani James' story, words, and actions, had me moved. Like I said up front, I'm a sucker for a good backstory.
